I am sorry, I am legitimately confused over what your concern is.

You could start by explaining Joker's post, Sir T. Exactly what does he mean by that veiled threat?

Oh, it's nothing sinister on their part, just mine...mwhahahahahahaha...

Little advice, though- don't go writing posts on facebook's PF page under your real name and then come here and start bragging about it minutes later. It's kind of a dead giveaway.

What the point of facebook if you can't stalk people?

So if you have a facebook account under your real name and 'friend' PF's page, you've just married your friends and family to this political forum... is that how it works?

Anyway I reiterate...if you post anything controversial on facebook about PF it will be deleted.

This is a link to our facebook page. If you are a member on facebook, you can "like" this page. From what I can tell, the list of people who have liked the page is private. The only people you can see who have liked the page are people who are already your facebook friend. Now, if you actually post on the wall of the page (for whatever reason) who you are IS visible. If anonymity is your goal, I would suggest not doing this. Perhaps the site owner would like to change the settings so that only they can post on the wall. That may be a good idea. The purpose of the page is exposure and connectivity. If you are worried about something (viruses, a stolen identity, cyber gremlins) then you are in no way obligated to do anything with the FB page or twitter.

I really don't know what else to explain here.

Now I am interested. How does that work? Do the mods here also moderate Facebook?

Because if so, I am going to go say some stuff and see what happens.

Evidently they do, because they just deleted two of my posts.

Can they retaliate from here...we'll see. If I am banned in the next few days you'll know why.

Exactly what I thought. This is a very dangerous move and the link should be taken down immediately. You're setting up members to unknowingly reveal their personal identities!!!

If I may make a brilliant (like I make any other kind) suggestion, I have a complex solution that may appease all parties.

It did take a long time to figure out, and it may or may not work, but if you don't go on the Facebook page and comment on it, or like it, or have anything to do with it, no one will know who you are.

Good advice. A little too late for some members, but good advice nonetheless.

We ask to have the database problems fixed and we got a toilet seat... with a webcam.

Hey, whatever you do in the privacy of your home is your business and I support it as long as it involves consenting adults.

I sent a pm to the owner about concerns, I don't see a reason to live this thread open.

Sorry Tadd, I just want to respond to this:

Smartie, I have an FB account and I am 'friends' with quite a few members on this forum. I have also 'liked' the new PF Facebook page.

I cannot see who else is a member of the page, all you can see is how many members have 'liked' the page. There is no list of names anywhere. I checked because I wanted to see who else had 'liked' the page, with the hope that I could find a few likeable members to 'friend. I found nothing, however.

You can 'like' the page, and I promise your name, or any other private details will NOT be visible. Not even your friends will know you have 'liked' the page. It didn't come up in my profile so the page looks to be as private you can get.
