You don't have a valid point. My position on this issue doesn't establish I'm a "Nazi" and even if I was It wouldn't disprove me. This is just silly name calling.

I never called you a Nazi.

Please don't lie about my comments.

I just read a story about an Australian woman that beat her 8 year old daughter to death with a vacuum cleaner pole. She was neither a scarred Somali or an ex rebel roaming the street. If a traumatised refugee is put in detention then released after 5 years, their trauma will be ten-fold. The time and expense to keep refugees in detention for five years is time / expense that is better spent by trauma counselling and treating them humanely with dignity.

It IS the Aussie's concern because Australia is a signatory to the UN Refugee Convention.

I am not into 'selective' valuing of others. Refugees are worthy and valuable because they are human beings like all of us are human beings.

You seem comfortable with inferring that an " Australian woman that beat her 8 year old daughter to death with a vacuum cleaner pole" is a valid representation of Australian women. You are wasting your time demonstrating your proficiency in the "art" of flawed logic. We already know.

Putting simplistic distortion aside. We have a duty to discuss, and be aware of the racial / cultural landscape of future Australia. Those too timid to actually face reality, too brainwashed to dare speak honestly, shouldn`t be involved in the decision making process. It isn`t racist to be aware of the potential for disaster, when incompatible cultures are thrown together.

We should not be letting anyone in to Australia, unless they can prove that they will be an asset to the country.

Just wondering. What colour code would you include the Irish in? The Poles? Russians? Italians can be dark skinned, but their lifestyle is compatible with ours, and they do into the Aussie landscape, eventually.

Spot on i recall reading that over 80% of refugees after 5 years are still entirely reliant on welfare. Ones that invade our shores have much higher unemployment than those selected from camps (which is still bad)

I dont mind people of any background, but the fact is bankrupt ourselves taking non western immigrants and if we take only the highly skilled from 3rd world countries we hurt them by taking their wealthy/ skilled people. Its a no win game taking 3rd worlders. Im certainly not saying we dont take any, but with manufacturing disappearing and jobless rates rising theres little opportunity for low skilled 3rd worlders.

If you are going to make posts like your #174, at least have the balls to stand by what you say. Don`t try to twist around when confronted. Makes you look sly, and shallow.

Excellent points. There has been no reference to John Nguyen`s consideration of these, and other valid aspects of this issue. Just cheap character assassination. John Nguyen has a far deeper understanding of these issues than the OP. Shallow.

The race to the bottom continues...

The coalition government to save 100 million over next four years.... by denying legal assitance to refugees:

    Read more: http://www.smh.com.au/federal-polit...ion-process-20130831-2sx13.html#ixzz2dVnT4ChB

And they wonder why refugees die at sea... implementing the harshest measures to try to keep refugees out of the country, they are aiding / encouraging the TOTAL NEGATION of refugees who are human beings who need assistance. Absolutely despicable behaviour from both sides of politics.

Here's Tony who'd been trumped by Kevin in the meanness stakes on refugees, upping the ante to be meaner... because clearly the meanest policy towards refugees makes them think they will win an election, in part, on how mean they can be. Are they REALLY reflecting the meanness of Australians overall? I don't think so. Apart from the bleatings of the igonorant bigoted folk, I think Australians are more informed and more humanitarian than that.

Yeah, Tony, buy back the boats, too, you ning-nong. In claiming you'd buy back the boats, you greatly insulted and raised the ire of the Indonesian government, you bovine twit!

If they can afford boat tickets they can afford their own lawyers.

I can understand the reasoning now Gwen, I think we have been a bit slow on the uptake! Now, these guys feel that asylum seekers dying through persecution and torture in their own countries is better than the chance of dying at sea........you can't question the morality!

Yep, that`s the leftie way. Twist reality until your spin silly has nothing in common with reality. Then flap your little wrists, and throw a hysterical tantrum. If you can support your claim that Abbott has put a dollar value on human life, please do so, and I will apoligise to you for what I`m thinking ATM. No silly spin though, we need facts, reality as adults perceive reality.

You can`t comprehend the propensity for this situation to expand do you. Poor thing. This issue needs to be handled by the adults. Killer Kev muffed it, then attempted to sales talk his way out of his responsibilities. Sarah Hanson - Cow cried a lot, but people kept dying. Well done Ms Cow!!

I think you would find that, virtually nobody realises the relevance, or significance of that "fact" too. Not without the assistance of vast quantities of specific drugs, at least.

Tell me this, TV. Since you have demonstrated your opposition to stopping the boats. Can you please justify your obvious agenda of keeping the boats coming? Why do you see keeping the boats coming, as such a good idea?

    Dear John Nguyen,

Les Murray is a far, far bigger man than you:

Anybody who agrees with Gwendoline's near sighted liberal treason is a "big man". Great reasoning.

Another great post! It brings to light the broader issues, rather than the superficial simplicity of attitudes surrounding boat people. This is a man who actually honestly appreciates and understands the desperation that some people face. We can do more than we make out! This is a clear distinction between integrity and highlights what a hypocritical scumbag John Nyugnen is.
