Most of these 'woke' Leftists brush aside anything and anyone that doesn't align with their agenda. They either ignore or simply scoff at organizations like Mensa International, and they are absolutely ALLERGIC to academic venues like GENETICS.

It's funny... they accept as desirable and beneficial the study of genetics to do everything from curing diseases, to growing better tomatoes, breeding 'cuter' dogs, and thousands other interests, but when genetics is used to study differences between the human subdivisions in 'races', they get pop-eyed with RAGE.... Ignorant people -- the profoundly ignorant, doctrinaire ones -- used to react the same way when it was suggested by scientific minds that the Earth orbited the sun, instead of the other way around....

We COULD actually be developing a 'better' human being -- one that is smarter, one that can learn more rapidly and to a greater depth, one that has greater physical strength and resilience, one that is more disease-resistant, etc., etc., etc.

But we will never even be allowed to STUDY and develop methods that would help and improve all of us, and our "children and grandchildren" until we get beyond the narrow-minded stupidity that always drags mankind down.

Exactly. If you’re not aligned with science and just make sht up, you should be brushed aside where governance is concerned it’s conservatives who are narrow minded. Evidence means little......it’s all about opinion and how many of their fellow minions they can get to agree with them.

Antifa is no more a defined group anymore then then a male sports team would be women if the wore pink emblems supporting women in their support of women’s health concerns.

    why aren’t you a supporter of antifa ( anti——FA, fascism )

Don't look now, Te, but you are RAVING!

You deliberately ignore the facts (FACTS) I presented and choose instead to side with criminals who resisted arrest -- dangerously -- and blame it all on some mythical, made-up 21st-century "racism", which frankly DOES NOT EXIST anywhere but in the minds of radicals-with-an-agenda. I stand behind the "CONTENT of (my) posts", and, once again, I defy you or anyone else to tell me -- specifically -- what I stated that was wrong.

Were all of those high-visibility Black "perps" resisting arrest? Well? Did they have criminal records? Well? BTW, even the famous, Saint George Floyd was convicted of eight crimes between 1997 and 2005, including aggravated robbery with a firearm. When ex-police officer Chauvin caused his death last year that officer was charged with crime(s) and he will have to stand trial, which is a very good thing -- but that doesn't make the entire White population of the United States of America a bunch of racists!

But what's more troubling than anything else, Te, is that in your post you WARN me, "Don't try and deny it either, Cy!" That's the kind of Gestapo-like bluster we get from anti-free speech TYRANTS, and that is so out-of-character for you that it's hard to believe that you are actually "you". We have disagreed on a number of topics through the years, but I think you have a better mind than to write angry rants like the one above....

Afterword: back on topic. As I have said about a dozen times already: those who stormed the Capitol should be forced to be charged with relevant crimes and stand trial!

Another afterthought: not exactly on topic. Go back and scan over some of the posts I've written for the past few YEARS and you'll know that I meant it, and mean it today, when I say -- "It ain't gonna break my heart to see Donald Trump leave the White House!"

Now, go and try to have a calmer, nicer day. Joe will take over on Wednesday, for better or worse, and then we'll 'see how it goes'... all right?

Actually, I HAVE read -- extensively -- some of the compelling research on both genetics and related findings on intelligence. I'll be happy to quote a few sources, but since you are so verbose about condemning anyone who proposes that there is a connection between race and IQ, I'll let you 'show yours' first. You game...?

Maybe not so much.... In scanning your past posts (of which there are many) I notice that you aren't a poster who characteristically quotes sources or provides links much, at all! :lonely:

To be fair I can understand why they don't like talking about genetics when it comes to talking about skin color. It was once used as a reason to deem someone with a different skin color as something not human by whites. So I can understand the sensitivity to it. And I empathize with it. And really the differences are negligible. So much so that it really isn't even worthy mentioning imo. I also am against trying to improve people genetically in all but resistance to diseases/viruses. Let nature takes its course imo on the rest.

Not science text books presently being used in institutes of higher learning.as the recognized standard for learning in ANY Certified university or college accredited

.....and as usual, you’d be happy to show but you don’t. Mainly because, you can’t. instead of bragging, let’s see your non racist, non bigoted sources from PRESENT DAY accepted sources of higher learning.

You can’t even show me any institutes in government, science research institutes or any of the major corporations, universities that use IQ as a marker for employment.

Man! It sure got quiet here after that last volley of posts.... Nothing new now in hours.

I guess there isn't as big a 'market' for those hawking "White Guilt" as we've been led to believe!

Is the REALITY of the existence of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights act of 1965 (back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth) finally (FINALLY) beginning to sink in on some people...?

Hint: ALL American citizens are EQUAL before the LAW... period! What are the motives of those who want you to believe otherwise...?

I have a real science reference written in layman language for woo woo spreaders while your looking for a bogus one.

Here...this might help too. For those of us who actually served, we are very acquainted with asvab testing.....not IQ testing, used for placement.

So... pretty much as I thought, Dagosa. You got nuthin'!

Then why should I waste my time trying to convince you of anything? You want to tell me that GENETICS research is all bullshit, and that there's no difference between the races, then feel welcome to live in your own little delusional echo chamber. That approach worked very well for people who refused to believe that the Earth orbited the sun, and not the other way around.

Or, for a start, you can google "genetics and human intelligence" and read for DAYS on end without reaching the end of all that's available....

Hint: If we ever did have the determination and imagination to craft the "perfect human being" it would be with a blended COMBINATION of the attributes of ALL THREE RACES! Even people who have no interest in any of this greater than inventing a better tomato or breeding a smarter dog understand this -- why can't some of the rest of you...?

Not quite sure how I proved your point. Particularly since you tried to use sports teams and the military as some of those that uses our intellect at the highest levels. The military will accept anyone that signs up and is medically sound and sports teams accept anyone that is in top form physically, intelligence is not required. Unless you consider chess or robotics as sports teams?!?! [/quote]

You do realize that there are millions of species on this planet that have no intelligence at all (meaning they go entirely based on instinct) yet many of them have survival skills that rival even humans?

Incorrect. IQ is a measure of how well a person is able to figure things out by themselves (meaning they do not have to use things like calculators, computers etc etc) and learn and retention of what they learn.

My memories of being tested for entry into the military when I enlisted a million years ago during Vietnam Era was that if you had a pulse and enough sense to be able to wipe your butt, you qualified! The main thing they were trying to ascertain was whether or not you had enough sense to follow simple instructions, and could be inculcated with enough discipline to use deadly force against an enemy if you were ordered to do so.

I'm not sure what that, per se, has to do with any connection between genetics research and intelligence quotients.

I notice how you added in the word "defined group". By "defined group" I'm guessing that you're talking about a set leader with a hierarchical structure in which the leaders and members are clearly defined and known. In that case you would be correct. Antifa has no such thing. But they are organized and are more akin to terrorist cells in which there is no specific leader over all, just small groups spread out that individually cause their own chaos and will at times, not always, work with other cells to create even more chaos. They even have an information network that they use in Twitter and FB.

BTW, you do know that you can be against something and not support a group that claims to be against the same thing right? For instance I'm all for making sure that blacks are treated with the same equality that I have as a white person, but no way in hell am I going to support BLM. Same goes for fascism. I'm against it. But there's no way in hell I'm going to support Antifa as I don't believe in using political violence.

Of course. You nominated and believe by an 80% level an unscientific non factual fool. The right is where the non science rhetoric comes from, not the left. I have no interest in giving made up sht any importance. You seem surprised that some on the left don't accept made up sht.

    it’s called “woo woo”.
Using a science sounding idea and conflate it with a debunked archaic idea of IQ, does not make it real. Let’s give a present day source.....anywhere. Other wise, it’s just woo woo.

I already gave you a source. Mensa International. You still claimed that they were racists. Despite the fact that they operate in over 100 different countries. I'll bet you didn't even look or read the link I gave did you? Here's another link for you: LINK: Mensa International Educate yourself. Stop claiming to be all for facts while ignoring facts.

Mensa isn’t a govenment sanctioned reference, nor affiliated with any SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY or institute of higher learning. It’s a fraud. It’s an IQ society specifically to promote racism and bigotry. Somehow, you doubt science.....again. More made up sht.
