Ok know that many trump supporters will dismiss this as “fake news” without giving it any thought. But they do that all the time and then some time later it is proven to be true. And in this case there is even a video of the documents being moved. I doubt the source would make that claim if it weren’t true.

So let’s deal with this as a hypothetical: assume it is true. What does that mean?

To me it likes a pretty clear case of obstruction of justice. Trump gets a subpoena and then he, personally, gives an instruction to prevent the documents that are the subject of that subpoena from being turned over. He ordered documents to be moved so they wouldn’t be found.

I really don’t see how this is anything other than obstruction of justice.

That won’t prevent the MAGA crew from defending him.

The fact that the FBI found classified documents in his private quarters when they executed a search warrant a few weeks later is evidence.

 

No it’s not. He could have had those there the entire time. He may have had his porn stash in those boxes he had that “employee” move.

 

To not charge Trump with obstruction would be a crime. He has snubbed his nose at everyone and his transgressions need to be addressed.

And let’s take it as a hypothetical. If he did in fact instruct an employee to move classified documents in order to ensure they weren’t found and handed over, can you explain that as anything other than obstruction of justice?

No they would just need to prove that he knew of the subpoena (which he did - there’s no dispute it was served) and then he ordered someone to move documents that were subject of the subpoena away from the area he allowed to be searched for those documents. Preventing the documents from being found.

Except - there was a subpoena and he didn’t turn everything over. Lots of government documents, many marked classified, WERE found at MaL.
How could that happen if he had complied with the subpoena?

 

Because as the evidence list clearly shows, those documents they found were mixed in with a bunch of other stuff.

The most likely explanation is that those documents were packaged with all of his other stuff when he left office by some low level nobody and he had no idea those documents were there in the first place.

It is based on "reasonable suspicion" and the FBI has asked formally, through his attorneys, to return all government documents he may have.

A. They have to wait for the Special Master and that should end by the end of October and no later than the end of November.
B. Once the Special Master is done, then they have to resolve the petition in Judge Cannon's court, which should end in December sometime.
C. I have predicted that they will wait until AFTER the November 8 Election, more like January, before Trump declares himself as a nominee for the GOP.
