trump supporters are worried about “uniting the country” after four years waving a cult flag and screaming f*** your feelings?

    Hilarious

That ship sailed, sunk and is at the bottom of the Atlantic.

No, it’s not. Scroll up for an article with USSC cases proving otherwise. Thanks.

    Not necessarily.

Whether it's Cyrus Vance or the IRS that accuses Trump, it doesn't matter.

Trump is a recidivist fraudster (Trump university) and nobody is above the law.... in theory.

Not compelling. “Could reveal” sounds like a fishing expedition. The courts won’t go for “we may find something relevant”, lol.

Further, Congress would have to show that not only do they need Trump’s tax returns specifically, not a general expert opinion generally from an attorney at the IRS. Congress will have to show that the ONLY way they could meet their legislative purpose is by looking at his returns specifically. A bar partisan hacks in Congress can’t clear.

There is no such law. All IRS tax returns are protected under federal privacy act. Do your homework

Trump isn't liked by many as 2020 proved. I usually refer to Trump as obnoxious, uncouth and rude. Most folks were sick and tired of his childish antics like name calling and throwing temper tantrums along with his third grade schoolyard bully tactics. I suppose this later is your reference to a political dictator. Trump wasn't behind the scene in this, it was all out in the open.

That being said, for me it doesn't take away the partisan effect of a political appointee Barr saying no to providing Trump's tax returns, then a democratic political appointee saying yes. The DOJ speaking with one mouth under a Republican political appointee and speaking with another mouth under a democratic political appointee. I think that speaks for itself.

Only if they have a legitimate request and ordered by a federal judge.
They don't have either which is why 4 years later they still don't have them.
Thats what too much CNN will do for ya, They tend to leave out the parts they don't like while you wonder why they still don't have his tax return 4 years later

LOL, political dictator? Hyperbole much? Trump learned the hard way who really runs government. He made a lot of enemies stepping on DC’s cash cows like China. He was not part of the globalist club. Biden fits right in.

Again, the investigation being led by Cyrus Vance has NOTHING TO DO WITH CONGRESS.

    The topic is Congress.

I had no thoughts about dictators. Again, one can argue the partisanship, that's not my focus here. Trump's own actions got him to where he is, he is still one of the major players in US political partisanship. That was why I added the bed making comment.

I guess I could have used the old adage about being nice to people on the way up ....... :)

Then subpoena the dang IRS Director and ask him. NOBODY knows more about tax law and NOBODY has more experience with prosecuting tax cheaters than the auditors and lawyers at the IRS.

It is preposterous to think that a gaggle of politicians could be better tax investigators than the ones at the IRS.

Do you not see that they are insulting your intelligence? Do they really think we are that DUMB?

Anyone with a measurable IQ KNOWS that this waste of OUR time is about political grandstanding, political hatred, revenge, AND as a distraction from the problems that this President is creating or making worse.

“Look! Look at the shiny thing!”

And that is how you believe our government should work the new party should use their power to put the defeated parties leaders and representatives in jail on trumped up charges.

No - it's about Congress dealing with the issue of Presidents using the office to enrich their business while in office. Trump
literally tried to schedule government functions on his resort properties so that he could charge fees. Congress needs
to investigate to come up with concrete rules for future Presidents. That's what this is about.

    It'sn't a distraction.

It's a political strategy to 1) show the electoral that even a former President cannot get away with murder and 2) Trump must remain in the public eye as long as possible to continue to instill fear.

And on that, considering how dangerous Trump is to the republic, the Democrats have my 100% support.

If The House Ways and Means Committee doesn't find anything, good for Trump.

He has so many other lawsuits to deal with anyway.

This is all hyperbolic BS, which is why a court will reject it.

Except that now they have them.

    Trump is a Fraudster.

You don't pay $25 million in settlement to students at a (fake) university just out of sheer generosity.

He refused to put his company's management in a blind trust, raising further suspicions of corruption.

Now that he's no longer there to order the DOJ to obstruct and the Democrats have received strong support from the voters, I hope that Trump's finances will be scrutinized so that Liberals can be given hope that there is no such thing as impunity.
