ICE jumps the gun a hell of a lot with deportations. They've been known to detain people that are legitimate, documented immigrants without due process. I don't trust the ****ers. I don't regard them as anything more than a racist militia with government backing.

Business largely supports the GOP and has been encouraging lax immigration laws and enforcement for decades. So far, Trump has resisted implementing an effective e-verify system, the only way to kneecap illegal immigration. The border measures will help, but won't even come close to solving the problem.

I am all for legal immigrants and I have great respect for them. Legal immigrants are checked and regulated. Illegal immigrants bypass the check and regulation process and function in our society under the table. They flood the entry job market with cheap exploitable labor. This hurts anyone in the entry level job market. The flood of illegal aliens has decimated many communities.

 

Let's have a truly effective e-verify system so employers, even of domestic help and casual labor, can easily determine the people they're hiring are entitled to work here and won't dare hire an illegal.
