    Two database errors in the last 30 minutes. At least they seem to be going away quicker. Maybe we'll reach a point they won't happen at all???

    Think mebbe it may have somethin' to do with Internet routes or carriers...

    ... kinda like when ya phone in to some of these talk shows...

    ... an' one part of the country has an easier time of gettin' through...

    ... than other parts of the country.

    Has somethin' to do with the amount of traffic on the regional phone lines...

    ... mebbe it kinda works like that for internet routes?

    I just sent some info about this problem to you in a PM, but on second thought, it might be of help to others, so I'll re-print it here....

    I use the setting that gives me 40 posts per page. Sometimes I'll get stuck too.

    I change my setting to 10 per page and it works every time.

    So, try changing your posts per page and it may work for you.

    This thread was started long before I opened my forum.
    And I did so as a supplement and compliment to PF.

    The reason why is because a few weeks ago, the site was locking up much more often. It was really bad.
    The regulars couldn't communicate with each other. It's like a family with a lot of us.
    So a couple of us had the idea to open a supplemental forum as an overflow when the site bogged down.
    This site is very big. The other forum is no threat to PF, wasn't meant to be, and will never be. This site has over 55,000 members. You can't compete with that and we don't intend to.

    The owner and mods here are the best anywhere and they aren't petty.
    We love PF and we respect the owner/mods.
    I can't think of a better compliment than the loyalty we have for this place.

    You are mistaken in your allegations.

    Welcome to PF. There's no other place like it.

    Still getting the hit submit and it says you need to login again, so I login and it takes me to a white screen, nothing. Have to back back through the login and back to the edit screen for the reply and resubmit.

    I've been having the 'lock up/boot off' prob about 2 x's/hr for the past week or so. No probs w/any other sites/forums.

    I run Firefox 6 w/Reload add-on (set every 10 mins), and have purposely not upgraded to FF 7 since that add-on tends to lag Mozilla's new releases.

    Anybody with FF having the same prob? How about those who upgraded to FF 7?

    For a follow up: I upgraded to FF 7, and tried using IE8...this site is still about 50-60% un-usable most of the time for me......again, no problems with ANY OTHER websites.

    The silence here is deafening!!

    We just went through the database error lock out again for the last half hour !!!!

    C'mon owner !!!
    Do the V-bulletin upgrades and get a dedicated server !!!!

    It's SO frustrating. The last two days have been bad.
