    Ah, I just remembered one of my frequent moments of genius where I wrote something close to the following.

    Ignore lists are for those who are wrong, have been shown to be wrong, and wish to remain wrong without the inconvenience of being told they are wrong.

    I have one person on ignore. I am not sure if they are a lefty or a righty because they are stupid beyond words. The ignore is not used to shelter me from differing points of view, but rather a desire not to waste time or bandwidth.

    I have about 6 or so on ignore now, thinking seriously about adding some others.

    I don't put people on ignore just because I disagree with them, I ignore people who are tremendously stupid, or willfully dense.

    Indeed. Herein lies the problem with ignore lists.

    When someone who is not on his or her ignore list, such as myself, quotes you, your post becomes visible.

    I only have one extremely annoying member on ignore. But that's because this person NEVER has anything of substance to say. This person makes it a point to say his/her zinger word in EVERY single post he/she makes. It is quite annoying.

    I thought about ignoring the hardcore racists, but I chose to report them instead.

    Most of us say we have one on ignore, I know that I have only one too, I wonder if we are all ignoring the one person LOL

    Yes true they have their own forum to unload their sick minds with like minded (if that's the right term) people.

    Sums it up for me.

    I was ignored by a 'frothing at the mouth' Liberal type who use to come around here, simply because they didn't like what I had to say and they were unable to silence me with their replies(they had nothing :mrgreen: )... so they just put me on ignore. I decided at that point that I'd simply shut up if I were wrong, not reply if there is no point in replying, or just avoid interacting with them if it becomes obvious that they're trolling.

    I don't know if they can. Mods can put members on ignore, not sure if members can ignore Mods. They wouldn't want to anyway. They'd miss my brilliant posts and amazing presence. ;)
