Joe citizen loves to give me hell, and that includes some of my anti-gun control friends when I tell them I think ALL weapons should be legal, even small cannon up to 105mm. We should have the same access to weapons that our police have. Personally I wouldn't care if everything were legal save for nukes and bio weapons. Why not? Once we strip the emotional knee jerk responses away a machine gun isn't more deadly than a few sticks of dynamite. Really I, with no training in explosives save for minor military training could easily make improvised weapons as deadly as machine guns, cannon or chain guns etc. The real reason anti gun types and government don't want military weapons in the hands of our neighbors is fear, most of born from ignorance and the government propaganda. Why DON'T I need an assault weapon? I only have a few but love building shooting and collecting firearms. Also I have the right to own and carry firearms as per the recent ruling of the SCOTUS, save for the carry part. Carry? That's another sore spot...but off topic...lol reva

Dude, you may want to actually read our supremest law of the land every once in a while to ensure you don't Appeal to Ignorance of it. Only well regulated militias of the several United States, have literal recourse to our Second Amendment and those Arms which may be necessary regarding ensuring the domestic Tranquility and security of our free States--including, those Arms which may be necessary to suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions.

Ahhh' I remember reading something about the federalist papers...oh yes it was a note from my High School American history teacher saying I got an F for the horrific essay on Fed papers! I was dumbly uninterested in history way way back then. Anyway, today I love history but my interest in history lies more in fifty or 60 years before the civil war, during the civil war til about 1900. I know very little detailed info about the fed papers despite a review of them being an required study in political science in college. They are invaluable for interpenetrating the constitution and serve as a 'protector' of that document. Do they say anything about the 2nd adm? Is it true that Jefferson fought against the bill of rights being included in the Fed papers? Hmmm, this might surprise you coming from me, but I will say it anyway; If we lived in an ideal world where people were more honest and not so evil/greedy Communism/Socialism would be one of the most fair forms of government in the world and IMO I would wager it would be one of the best economic systems as well! Don't misunderstand me like I did my uber right wing dad (RIP pappy I miss you) when he first said that to me. I about fell out of my chair! He explained it from his religious perspective and I forgave him..I was an atheist back then too! Anyway I said it would be fair, I didn't say C/S would be better than capitalism. Capt'ism' would do well in the same ideal circumstances of less greed, but not as well as today's capt with loads of good old fashioned greed and treachery to drive our wall street thieves like a Peter-built on a downhill mountain grade.
