Abortion is murder in the sense it involves taking a living creatures life. However, this is a very compex question that cannot be answered with simply a "yes" or a "no". Only thing I have to say in this question is that there is a subjective answer to when a life becomes a life. And from an ethical and moral viewpoint it is always unethical and immoral to take out a life, whether it is by stabbing it, shooting it, scratching it or sucking it out. Even worse if this is done to a life when it is in the most vurnable stage and in the greatest stage of protection it will ever be.

In my opinion abortion should only be considered in cases of (1)rape, (2)incest and (3)when Mother's life is in danger. Any other excuse is just a result of immoral and destructive behavior that could easily be stopped by adopting some proper behavior, self-respect and cautiousness.

I am against abortion as a mean of "contraception", but I do not believe in an illegalization of the act as a whole. My view on"contraceptive abortion" is quite Marxistoid and comes down to structures that need to be deconstructed now. The alcohol-culture in West, the headless nightclubbing and the "Sex and the Cuty-lifestyle" is bad for all of us.

Do you really think a healthy society should strive after as many abortions as possible? "Each individual's right to their own body" is a concept I fully agree with, just like any other normaly intelligent being. Abortion is different though. It is not about "a woman's right to her own body" and actually I consider it (FoxHastings, note: I, me, first person)quite blasphemic stance for a woman to take.

More than 30% of abortions done in Sweden, I've read somehwere, are in the mean of a contraceptive, additionally almost 50% of abortions performed are on women who have had one earlier too. You have to see the problem here.

As I (FoxHastings, note I, me, myself, first person) see it "free abortion" is part of the sexual objectification of women. It is an excuse for groaping on strangers and only regarding them as objectios for instant gratification, as sex toys or prostitutes. The philosophcal discussion that currently dominates this discourse with question about "moral" and "what is a life?" is the wrong way of addressing the question imo.

I'm not trying to shame a <Rule 9> fetus (how is that supposed to work?). But if a mother does not want to loan out her body for nine months and then unwillingly push the loan-ee out of her vagina, she shouldn't have to.

From that ramble I got it that you think if abortion is illegal women won't be seen as sex objects.....:roflol: :roflol:

You : """More than 30% of abortions done in Sweden, I've read somehwere, are in the mean of a contraceptive, additionally almost 50% of abortions performed are on women who have had one earlier too. You have to see the problem here."""

What problem?? That legal medical procedures aren't rationed ? That's a problem for you???

Again you are putting words in my mouth...or hands..whatever. I never said this.

That many women use abortion as a contraceptive. This is a clear indicator of a poor lifestyle with no commitment and aimless partying and drugging.

Here(^) is what I said. So never did I say "sexual objectification" would stop if abortion was illegalised and never did I even advocate for an illegalisation in the first place.

Uh!

I see you can't remember what you posted despite showing it to you.

Oh, I get it now....you're one of the Anti-Choicers who don't really give a damn about any fetus, you just want to control women's sex lives for some really weird reason.....you're not alone , there's many like you....

You sure keep forgetting what you posted .................

Your disapproval of someone's lifestyle (or jealousy of) doesn't mean they should have legal medical procedures rationed.

"Their own women" - assumes facts not in evidence. ;)

Likewise. So where in that post did I say "If abortion is illegalised, sexual objectification would stop"?

This is a disgrace, you try to present me in a way that oes not at all correspond with reality.

JESUS! You still don't get that ("abortion follows another act of immormality") the act referred to latter is aimless sex with strangers? Comon now!

You just continue making up stuff out of the blue. I think there is a destructive structure affecting both men and women. This is not solely about sexuality about women, but also about men. Stop victimizing yourself all them time and try to understand the problem that I am trying to address instead, how about that as a change?

- - - Updated - - -

Not too. It is THE problem.

"""the act referred to latter is aimless sex with strangers? Comon now!"""

A. Aimless, or any other kind of sex with or without a stranger, doesn't always result in pregnancy....it's the pregnancy that causes the abortion, not sex.

B. Married women in stable relationships have abortions. You didn't know this because I was right , your concern is for the sex lives of women and NOT a fetus...and that is weird.

Not any or every pregnancy though! Get the picture lady. How many times do I need to specify that is primararily the "contraceptive abortions" that I oppose. And the "contraceptive abortions" are mostly performed by nightclub queens. "Oh my God I got so drunk last night and now I am like totally preggers. Better go the clinic so I can party on Friday again! Yay...Totally!" If you say this does not happen you are blind and a liar.

Bollox. Only a very, very, very, very small minority of happily married women in stable relations enter the abortion stats. You know this. You are being dishonest and it is not nice because you know it.

Not necessarily. If women see that all the other women are not doing it, maybe they'll feel less pressure to abort too. It won't be as prevalent or socially acceptable, other women will be under the same handicap so they won't feel like they're under as much competition.

The reverse could also be true:
If killing your baby was acceptable, would more women do it?

By the way, where are you from?? I could see women getting locked up right and left in some of the big cities (especially New York, many parts of California and the Northeast, but outside those places it's not really very incredibly common for women in the U.S. to get elective abortions.
(I left out San Antonio and New Mexico, those are big Abortion capitals too)

If you want to ”sleep around” fine, I do not care. I am not a bloody Stalinist. However I think it is very important to take responsibility for your actions. You want sex, but no baby? Make sure contraceptives are used. This of course goes for both men and women.
And please, do not pull the damn “but sometimes condoms/pills/whatnot fail”-card. It has no place in this discussion and is very rare too anyways.

A healthy society needs intelligent and responsible individuals. Only thinking about your own sexual gratification not taking under consideration the possible outcomes and relying on the abortion clinic to save is foolish, self-destructive and quite repulsive too.
Abortion is great. It is needed, but must not be abused for (*)(*)(*)(*) reasons like “We were drunk and did not know what we were doing”.
Obviously, men play a HUGE part in this (*)(*)(*)(*)ty behavior and maybe even the biggest part. Sometimes forcing their girlfriend, partner or one-night stand to have an abortion when she does not want it and/or being to lazy to buy some condoms.
That being said, women are- of course- not free from blame.

Think twice before you act is my advice. Every life is precious and should not be taken out “just like that”.
Too many of the teenagers and “young adults” of today are very sloppy and irresponsible. Alcohol- and sex culture is a huge problem of my generation. Don't you think it is problematic that so many young men of today only want women for sex and that so many women have pretty much the same view on men?

Don't you think it is problematic and sad to see men and women that would rather sleep around til their 30's instead of finding the right one to then, at the age of 35 start craving love and a family and turn to complaining about how "every girl is a race-mixing skank" and "all men are jerks." “Men just want sex!”? Additionally, women are quite limited in this matter as the "kid market" is time-bound for them. When they after 125 abortions actually want a kid, time might be running out.

All over the West, STD's are higher than ever and youth epression is a skyrocketing trend. Is this good in your opinion? Too many young girlssuffer from poor self-esteem and so does many young boys. Is this good in your opinion? Way too many young kids live home til their 30's without finding a partner to start their own life, is this good in your opinion? Way too many men and women would rather have sex with each other and then never meet again than trying to commit, is this good in your opinion? Way too many young boys and girls feel pressured to lose their virginity before they even turn 16 and feel bad if they do not succeed, is this good in your opinion?

Everything mentioned above is a direct result of -or can at least be connected to- the destrutcitve view on sex that in turn tesults in an unnecessarily high number of performed abortions.

Yes?

Gee, I'm sorry you found it necessary to write a novel, when all I am going to do is say it's none of your business. You don't know 99.99999% of women on the planet. Therefore. It's not your call. And it's really kind of sick that you're all up in what they're doing in their personal private lives.

- - - Updated - - -

Where am I from? Oh look, another question which is none of your business.

OK then. Lets legalise rape and stop talking about sexual objectification too(surely you as a woman would have no problems with this) then. Afterall it is "none of our business" because, after all "nobody knows 99.99% of the world anyways." :)

Additionally, you are very much too "all up in what other people are doing" by advocating for "right to abort".

So you believe that legal medical procedures should be given only to those whose lifestyle you approve of.

Happily the world doesn't see it your way :)
