At 9:04 a.m. the news said it was a gas line in Oklahoma City. I didn't know what in hell it might be but knew it wasn't no gas line.

    According to Rania Khalek

    https://mobile.twitter.com/RaniaKhalek/status/1290789668561330177

There are also reports of poisonous gas and that Beiruit should be evacuated.

    https://mobile.twitter.com/73dr0/status/1290790873597464576

The first report I read spoke of a mushroom cloud and of course the first thought was that it was Israel. It was a relief to hear it was an accident and then of course people suggesting maybe not raises that concern again. What has certainly happened is an incident of the highest intensity creating death and damage on a level still to be calculated of ordinary men women and children to a place already suffering beyond anything we could imagine

    https://mobile.twitter.com/AymanM/status/1290753392843919368

and the port being destroyed bodes very unwell for the future of the people of Lebanon

    Rania Khalek again

    https://mobile.twitter.com/RaniaKhalek/status/1290723481110405121

My heart goes out to the people of Lebanon. The shock was felt in Cyprus. Let's hope the 'hunanitarian' world now moves to help the people of Lebanon on a massive scale.

    Stop spreading stupid fake news.

This was a terrible accident, NOT A BOMB or any other terror related attack.

But this disaster is of course a crime, some people being responsible for neglecting the storage of explosive material.
They need to be brought to justice.

If VT said the sky was blue any sane person would ask for a dated and time stamped photograph taken by a reliable witness. Given that VT has been pushing the evidence free claim that 911 was a nuke any intelligent person should demand impressive levels of proof.

If it is a nuke then finding out will be the easiest thing ever. No need for some special photo analysis or other lengthy process. There are literally dozens of radiation monitoring stations all over the world. They can detect an underground nuclear explosion half way around the world. Picking up an above ground explosion, even a small one, would be incredibly easy. In fact, it would have happened by now.

So, no nuke. VT strikes out again. Sort of makes you wonder why anyone would use it as a source.

You considered that it was a nuke?

an't say that it even occoured to me. A number of things can cause big explosions. No one has set off a nuke above ground in decades, so it is on the wildly unlikely side of wildly unlikely.

The BBC were interviewing two people about this just now. The first said said it was too early to tell if the material was deliberately set alight but it should not have been there anyway. The second appeared more an expert on things. He said around 2000 there was a big explosion caused by this (forgotten where) and everyone had to get their act together - including it would appear the UK. He also pointed out how the IRA had used this in their terrorism giving as an example Manchester. However he also said that the storage of this stuff on its own would not cause the explosion. It needed the right kind of fuel added to it. He pointed out that there was the initial fire and after that the massive explosion and apparently very little is needed to do dramatic damage. He said the Manchester attack only used about three bags of it.

So how things seem to be going is that it does not appear to have been done by any bomb and it is still too early to know what has happened but this material especially in such large quantities should not have been stored where it was. However that storage in itself will not have caused this catastrophe. It needed some fuel by some means to have entered the building presumably causing the first fire which happened before the explosion.

    Here is an other description

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/08/05/beirut-explosions-ammonium-nitrate/

I read last night that they lost their grain supplies in the explosion and that is being confirmed now on the BBC.

Their health services are being overwhelmed with the number of injuries but it looks like people are sending help in.

Except for the red-color in the cloud, it looks more like an AN blast (similar to the West, TX explosion). You see grey smoke first, indicating an initial fire, then the orange blast, then the white mushroom cloud. On the Iraq bomb footage the white cloud occurs before the main blast.
