sociopathy and schizophrenia are two completely different things. This guy clearly was schizophrenic. Its a very sad thing really. While Sociopaths are incapable of feeling any empathy for others, schizophrenics are completely off their nut. They here and see things that are not true. They can be very dangerous and what is often the case individuals show no signs of the illness until the twenties and then very quickly things can change. I am very sure this guy has had symptoms for several years. The incident with the gun shooting the car tires bit. The Police should have taken the guy in for testing several years ago.

I know they are different. Much of what I have read shows many traits of a sociopath the shooter had. I am no doctor so debating this would not really determine much. It is possible to be both. Guess we will find out eventually.

Virginia law prevented him from buying an AR-15.

so he bought a shotgun instead, which probably saved many lives.

thank God for Virginia's gun law.

A shotgun can cause massive trama with buckshot several people can be hurt or worse from a single shot. You have a link to this Virginia law? The actual law the info I have seen suggest this is just spin.

I would lean towards a misprint. I am all for a good conspiracy theory Bilderberg and otherwise. I honestly do not see it here just a incompetent media trying to make the story what they want it to be. Is the MSM in favor of more gun restrictions of course. The US could not even catch snowden. To think the media would know a head of time and keep it secret they are not that smart IMO. I could be wrong but have to see more concrete evidence.

We need a law that would have prevented his owning a shotgun.
Maybe mandatory periodic psych evaluations and a license to buy firearms.

Don't bother citing 2nd Amendment. A "well-regulated militia" excludes schizos from membership.

The 5th and 14th would be the problem due process is needed to remove rights. You will find many on the right that will agree but it not so easy. Many on the left, the ACLU especially will not be on your side of this.

    So.

In your view, does this have about as many, more, or a little less number of holes in it than Sandy Hook..?

Navy Yard Building 197 re-opened to workers after gunman attack...

Navy workers to move back into building where gunman killed 12
September 13, 2014: WASHINGTON — When 2,800 workers return to Building 197 at the Washington Navy Yard in February, the move will mark a new chapter of healing for those scarred by the shooting rampage that killed 12 people and injured five a year ago. But it will also be a moment of trepidation, Navy officials acknowledge.

A date in the thread title would be nice and should be required.

Six months, six years from now, the title will still read "breaking".
