It's not for you to say that the lives lost due to COVID are not worth noting. Your coldness is duly noted. When we lose our compassion we lose our humanity and then we lose OUR WORTH.

Oh! Those poor old people who didn’t live that last miserable remaining year of their lives dying of something else, because COVID-19 robbed them of that even slower, more agonizing death! :cynic:

It is not worth noting because the “excess” is too minuscule to matter. I’m sorry to sound so cold about it, but this thread topic is about the numbers game. You are being shown that the numbers add up to about the same whether there was COVID-19 or not. The same approximate amount of people would have died in this country without COVID-19 and some pretenders in Australia wouldn’t have cared less otherwise.

And it's for you to say that the lives lost due to authoritarian controls put in place to prevent COVID are not worth noting. That's what this 200,000 deaths hyping is about; fear-mongering. As a percentage of the population, it's not very high. The goal is to herd the sheep even more into their pens, believing that the COVID wolf is a constant deadly threat.

It's impossible to be 200,000. No way our country with 4.2% of the population of the world has 22% of the world deaths.

It's not for me to say anything. That's my point. Those who have lost loved ones could care less what those who have lost nothing think.

Yes, that's how I feel after I read the science and educate myself rather than listening to partisan media outlets.

Someone died from wearing a mask for 15 minutes in the grocery store?

But,but China, but, but Russia or what ever.

China screwed up big time and let the genie out of the bottle. Should have done far better and has a responsibility and should be held responsible. No question about it.

But, but, but, this administration screwed the response up, bigly. That's why 200,000 died.
Sorry Bunker Boy and his fan club have not gotten it even today.
    Mask.
    Social distancing,
    Keep your hands clean.
    Avoid crowds, especially indoor crowds.
My employees and I have to deal with it everyday. Its not made up or partisan, who gives us a hard time, about putting on the kisser sock, Trumpees, the males, with the cap. Their women, no problem.
    What is there problem.
I had a guy today, who wanted to dicuss with me if it is a State Order or a Mandate in CO and that the official signs I was ordered to put up, printed from the CO Health Department Website, are worded wrong or right.
The guy was from AZ and in his late 60s, a covid refugee, or covid hauler.
    They are getting more agressive.
I have no patience for them, they do not put a mask on and wear it properly, I nail them, cops and press charges for trespassing.
I am tired of this kindergarden, I have to protect my employees, keep them healthy and the rest of my customers, who come because of a healthy as possible environment.

You got the word wrong, not unconscionable, but unconstitual.
    Just kidding.
Wonder when the US will have a memorial for the death of C19.
    500,000
    1 million.

What does it take, till this Nation bows its head, finally bows its head ?

That shows you the screw up of this government and how crappy the US health system really is.
    3rd world at best.

Science isn't speculation. Isn't there a Fox News marathon on that you'd like to spend the rest of your evening focused on.......... I'm kinda boring and I "feel' like you're wasting your time on me.

You keep saying the word "science" but you haven't presented anything scientific, only feelings and predictions dripping with anxiety

Interesting.......sounds like someone skipped out on science class too many times if you're still questioning whether there is science behind the virus guidance. I'm not someone prone to anxiety but I do have an aversion to smartassery.

I'm done playing ping pong tonight. Have a good evening.

No kidding. Even the joint effort hot mess of a death toll that De Blasio and Cuomo made of New York and NYC barely put a dent in just the population of the U.S. alone.

Just pick a crisis. We get a new one in the U.S. every year. After one wears itself out, the leftists move on to a new tragedy. Notice how no one is talking about the illegal immigrants coming up out of Mexico anymore or those poor kids stuck in the Obama cages? It’s all old hat.

What's the bet that is exactly Trump's private thinking.

It's not inconceivable that he might even be glad to cull some 'dead weight' - that is holding back the economy from soaring even greater! (that would explain his almost complete lack of compassion and remorse).

Thank you for your candour. We better understand the kind of thinking we are dealing with now.

Nope they are very very good and should be applauded every day. They take huge risks, to serve us.
Its the system which is 3rd world and it shows, 200,000 dead, in 6 month, mind you. Never happened before, neither WW! or WWII, or Korea or any other war in which the US was involved.
    6 months, 200,000 dead.
If that figure does not make you sit down and think about the endless rows of grave stones.
Arlington has 14 K. You been there, its humbling, to see those rows, after rows, after rows of grave stones.
    Sobering.
Or the grave yards of the battlefields of WWI and WWII
    Sobering.
But they help you to understand what those figures mean.
200.000 died of this virus, in 6 month, which is more than the US lost in WWI, in 2 years, or 4 times as much as the US lost in Vietnam, in 10 years.
The US is getting towards its losses in WWII.
    Those are the figures.
No other country has lost so many people.

    Why ?

200,000 old and/or sick people, minus some anecdotal cases of healthy people, of which are a vast minority. Comparing deaths of the old and infirm to the deaths of soldiers in battle is asinine. Those are the actual numbers.
