    LOL... I dismissed that one pretty quickly, when I saw the word amorality was used... If it was just talking about bad policies and bad meetings, it wouldn't be out of the question...

    I have a question....for anybody

    The Op-Ed has a hyper link to another NYT piece about Mattis and the 5th grade understanding.... who determines that?? If it's an op-ed, would the anonymous writer have to specify that link or does that come from the NYT?

    And why would the link be set for the phrase "vowed to do what we can".... We..... and a link to Mattis....

    Interesting...

    Well, I'm going to guess that an Obama holdover is not going to write the following:

    "We want the administration to succeed and think that many of its policies have already made America safer and more prosperous."

    "Don’t get me wrong. There are bright spots that the near-ceaseless negative coverage of the administration fails to capture: effective deregulation, historic tax reform, a more robust military and more."

    Linda Tripp was a federal bureaucrat. First she worked in the Pentagon then worked in both the Bush (41) and the Clinton White House.

    Sally Yates who was the acting Attorney General was an Obama holdover until President Trump fired her ass after only being on the job for 10 days.

    Sorry, Trump FanBoys. I'll admit there is a fair amount of over-the-top criticism of Trump - just as there was Obama and Bush and Clinton and Reagan - but there
    is just way too much smoke coming from both Republicans and Democrats and the Press and Trump's many terminated Cabinet Members and advisors (twice that of ANY administration, and most of them appointed BY Trump) for there not to be some fire in all this.

    You got to start asking yourself if these were anti-Trump people to begin with, or if Trump is making them anti-Trump through his actions. Remember, a number of these people WERE Trump appointees.

    I think the door is wide open for Nikki Haley to take Trump on in the 2020 primaries.

    You mean other than the Russian collusion story, and every article and book written for the last two years about all the "chaos" in the WH.

    This is just another in a loooong list of leftist imaginative fiction.

    They can't handle reality, so they constantly create something new to calm their little nerves.

    The author is clearly a pro-Trump conservative who has been disenchanted over time.

    He prefers to remain in office to make things work rather than leave and live with his conscience.

    I think this letter and Woodward's book could trigger a protest movement within the White House itself.

    I don't think it's someone very well known to the public.

    We can eliminate the most fanatical ones like Kellyanne Conway, Stephen Miller, Bolton, Kudrow and Giulianni.

    It isn't impossible that it is Pompeo.

    Like Tillerson before him, much of his work has been sabotaged by Trump since he has been here.

    I was just looking at another thread about President Trump canceling the pay raise for federal employees.

    Do you think some federal bureaucrats working in the Trump White House had a TDS attack and joined the "resistance" because they will not be getting their pay raise ?

    That crossed my mind as well.... As a former Senator, the references to McCain make more sense coming from that direction.

    I find myself sort of liking Pompeo, so if my instincts are correct, I feel Pompeo must dislike Trump immensely...

    Where is the proof you are who you say you are?

    Those of who live around Palm Beach knew Trump before he became President. The statements in the OP ED are pretty consistent with the views of Trump before he was elected - that's why they should be given some credibility.
