Neither are wolves..... but we don't allow people to own wolves now do we. And since pittbull is a bread that was created, this bread needs to be eliminated.
Sorry, but you're wrong again. My daughter own a wolf until Nakai died a few years ago. Perfectly legal. Oh, I understand the compulsive desire for control some people have but again, it's not the breed of dog it's the problem. I remember a couple in San Francisco who two rottweillers killed a neighbor. Remember? A professional couple living in an apartment who happened to be quite mad. They went to prison. I remember two malmutes who killed a baby in Alaska when I was stationed there. Oh, and if someone is killed with a rifle we don't send the rifle to prison, do we? We send the person who pulled the trigger to prison, unless they're an exempt minority.
We've had this discussion before and I'll counter with the same argument: ever think of maybe holding the owner responsible for their pets? Would you leave a 3-year old with a full-grown Rottweiler?
I'm not excusing the owners by any stretch of the imagination, bit for the same reasons we aren't allowed to own tigers and hyeinnas.... it should be against the law to own pitbulls.
Same reason some men own expensive sprots cars and big 4X4 truck and never go off road. To compensate for their inferiror feelings and manhood. The psychological analysis of most civilians who own attack dogs are often an adult male with no regard for others, and who are self centered individuals, often with mother issues and again feelings of inadequacy. They often work in menial jobs and are not in a dominant position as they were when in high school. They find the mother figure to be the dominant figure in their psyche. Often they compensate their need for domination and bullying by having dominated a powerfull amimal. In most cases due to their mother issues they have difficulty being intamate with their spouse and actually fear females. Others who train attack dogs for military and public safety use are different cases. They do if for the greater good and other nationalistic purposes rather than personal esteem building to quench their need to be the alpha male in their little world.
Basically, we just need more liberals laws. We'll never have enough. I can imagine the next San Francisco earthquake when you hear people screaming, "Forget the children, save the goldfish." The city in the U.S. I fled was debating whether or not bird feeders should be illegal. I imagine myself in the exercise yard at the big house. "What are you in for?" "Murder." "Armed Robberies." "An illegal bird feeder." Everyone back aways, terrified. Do liberals ever actually feel silly?
Urge to control pitbulls is still out there, because many owners use them as weapons to murder people or a person!?
apples vs. oranges 1. There is no breed called "pit bull" 2. Domesticated dogs Canis familiarus have been bred for thousands of years, making them morphologically, and behaviorally different than their ancestors Canis lupus. 3. you are comparing wild predators, to domesticated animals. you would have an argument if this was about Wolves, but it is not.
No... Owning a Pit Bull breed is like owning a rabbit... You know nothing about the breed of dog. Stop guessing and being a sheep to propaganda your parent (the Television) tells you!!!
Although self righteous individuals do not understand their own fears and inferiority, they feel more adequate when they have associated themselves with animals and groups that give the illusion of strenght, when in fact it is an assembly of weak and un-intelligent.
Bwahahaha...yeah cuz rabbits attacking school children and the elderly happens all the time and the media just focuses the agendas towards those sweet innocent pitttbulls. Clearly I AK the ignorant one here.....lol
It is no business of the government what pets a person chooses to own. Each man's freedoms extend up to but not including the point of infringing on someone else's rights. So pit bulls of course should be legal, but owners should be partially liable for their actions if they harm another person. More laws does not equal more safe.
Says you just because it goes against your preconceived notion of who Pitbull owners are. IDK what it is like where you live, but here in the Bronx, Pitbulls are VERY popular and most of the owners I know (excluding one person who breeds them) ARE WOMEN.
