The point is, NONE of it will come close to $430 mill. So NY is taking this at a loss, no matter how much they sell it for(or how little) because Trump didn't exactly create market value. Additionally, it's all real estate. The damage to Trump's brand(which is what he sells) is going to make this very hard for the NY Government financially.

All the AG did, is basically help Trump liquidate, free of charge.

Lmao taking up to 500 million in equity isn’t free of charge.
    You’re saying he’s flat broke?
your post makes no sense at all.

That’s one way to look at it I guess.

Hey, can I help you liquidate and then keep the proceeds from all of your assets (if you have any)

I would be doing you a favor, right?

    Right?

    Jesus....

Once again, you don't know what you're talking about.

Profits go into the state's pockets.

If Trump's appeal is denied or he loses again, the seized properties will be sold at auction.

When a DA comes after you with all the power of the government, then you won't think it's so funny. And the "Well, I didn't commit a crime." excuse won't fly. If they want you, they'll find something, or just makes something up. Oh, you think that could never happen to you? Well, think again. If they can get Trump, they can get anyone. None of us are safe anymore.

It would happen to anyone who fudged their figures to get favourable borrowing terms and tax relief, but, come on.....that has been done to death in other Threads and is Off Topic in this one.

NY doesn't want to keep those liens and titles. The Government of NY(or even specifically banks) don't want to hold onto those titles, they want to SELL THEM. Now pay attention, this is financial 101: The value they're getting is NOT the same as the actual valuation. It's just yes, what Trump possesses. The actual value will come from future sales of the possessed liens and titles.

NOW, here's why NY ****ed up: Trump isn't a movie star, a war hero or some popular spokesperson. He's a politician with a toxic brand, and that brand has been dragged in the mud. Trump Tower will always resemble Trump Tower to people. This will drive away suitors. The Springs, that they said Trump overvvalued, I bet has actually LOST value over the last 4 years

These assets have lost so much value before re-hitting the market. So the banks/government are going to have to sell low. And yes, there's a chance this 500 mill judgment could bankrupt Trump.

So it's a 500 mil liability to the bank of NY. Happy taxes, New Yorkers

I have read that it is unlikely to be sold before the appeal is determined. But maybe they will seize the ongoing operating profits.

Isn't one of his wives buried there? That could certainly complicate any sort of development.

    Yes, you’re right…

Any citizen that attempts to defraud others is likely to suffer as a result….anyone…

Then he should have had more competent lawyers or, now here is a thought, you actually find out for yourself what did come up in trial

A developer would also pay to relocate her remains. So that’s just a red herring.

No, we all got his point. Trump adoring rightists believe that he should simply be allowed to commit any crime he wants and get away with them.

I saw an article that mentioned a number of similar cases. Others have been charged and convicted of these crimes.

Surely you can show us all just one other person you know that is getting away with the same crime your mango hero committed

Just one. Shouldn't be too difficult for ya.
