Republicans are likely to cause a depression if they don't change their policies on containing COVID-19 and their unwillingness to support businesses, big and small, and workers when COVID-19 is impacting consumer and business spending. Trump's own Fed Chairman has come out twice and said Congress must to more to support the economy with fiscal stimulus.

Some businesses (dance clubs, pro football in packed stadiums) must stay closed to stop the virus spread because consumers increasingly stay home if the virus is running amok.

The government killed it, not the virus and the government will have to give permission for us to try to get up and running. A lot of jobs simply aren't coming back, the employers are out of business. The only group that survives this much inactivity is Congress.

We came out of a terrible depression, still known as The Depression, by supplying much of the allied equipment for that world war. When that war ended our mfg system was in position to make us the power we are today.
