OK, you don't think women are human beings just things........I got that...

Great and post and really slaps in the face those who seem to think women are not really human beings but "something else" and definitely something "less than" a man....

Right... The day I found out my cute lesbian friend was also an army reserve in the Royal Army and worked on base... Was the day I referred to her as 'Army Girl' if I spoke about my friends...
There was DVD Girl who introduced me to both Army Girl and Gangster B'..
But that was the only change, still treat her the same as I would do anyone else, and remember, just be respectful of women...
I guess being considerate was your downfall here as assuming what somebody wants or doesn't want is wrong. The answer is to always open or hold the door for people, man or woman.
You could even joke about it with your friends when holding the door open for them and say something like
'I let my Bitches go first' or whatever... But always hold the door open, it's respectful.

I have nicknames for my friends that they don't know about because I only use them to talk about them to other people. I don't even talk to DVD Girl or Gangster B' anymore. Still talk to Army Girl though. She taught me how to march. For fun I've been known to march at work on construction just for laughs/pass the time.

WHAT IS BLATANTLY STUPID is the fact that anti-feminists were whining about "holding doors" 60 years ago.

There is this whole trite, ignorant, sexist rant about "Holding Doors" as if the whole of women's rights revolves around "Holding Doors"..

SIXTY YEARS of this "Holding Doors" crap !!! .... and this IS the 21 century when you'd think this assinine debate would've been long gone.

But no, the frightened must bring it up and try to use somehow for something but never do quite ever HAVE A POINT...ever, never.

Whether anyone ever or never hold a door for a woman, man, child, teenager, old folks, the US Marine Corp, the Red Sox or the guy who's going to rob the store

it has NOTHING to do with the rights of women OR what ALL women want...., nothing....everyone understand what NOTHING means???

You:'""They are far more empowered than previous generations. They have been raised with strong female role models who are just as strong or smart or able as men.""

Yup , and who do you think RAISED them??? The same women you turn around and accuse of "disrespecting men" and being feminists!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, your alleged exploits with thousands of young girls is really suspect....sorry , but I'm not one of those naïve gullible youngsters you seem to need to favor :)

And, unlike him, if I bragged I'd be telling the truth :)

Funny how he doesn't like those older women who have "no respect for men" (eekeyes: ) but men having no respect for women (or a warped idea of what respect really is) doesn't phase him at all..

I do hold doors for men, but I make it more of a point to hold doors for women. I also let women go before me if possible, I also refer to a woman as Ms. or Mam depending on her age. I come from a time when men respected women and knew what they were......the corner stones to most men world. You are so wrong. I hold the door for you, so you know what you mean to the world. I doesn't make me feel more manly to hold a door. It makes me feel more manly to so respect where respect is due.

Of course like all respect it can be lost, and individual women have over my life time. For the record I will never hold the door for you to the boardroom....that one has to be earned.

There are differences between men also...so what?
When talking about gender ,equal means equal opportunities. Because we are different biologically does not mean we are not capable.
    Two nickels = one dime.
    Ten pennies = one dime
The coins are not the same but are equal to ten cents

The differences between men and women are much bigger.

Women have equal opportunity. Now we are waiting for them to get off their behinds and use it.

offense is taken not given If people decide to take offense it is their issue.

I habe only been bitched at once for holding the door for a lady. And i simply responded to her "have a nice day."

Use the "Oh, c'mon baby don't be like that" line.

    Results are AWESOME.

Sure, but there’s lots of differences within each grouping too. There’s nothing fundamental about women that makes them incapable of opening a door and nothing fundamental about men that means they’ll never benefit from having a door held for them. Doesn’t you experience with the military women demonstrate that judging an individual’s abilities on their gender alone is fatally flawed. Are you saying you’d have held the door for the same woman if she’d been in civvies (even if you knew she was in the military) but wouldn’t for a man in uniform? What about a man in uniform walking with crutches or in a wheelchair?
