    This is outstanding news.
But it is bioNtech vaccine. The company from Mainz/Germany holds all the patents of this vaccine.
They have a 50:50 agreement on developing cost and profits.
BioNtech is up 24%, Pfizer 14%.
Expect emergency certification by the End of November, in the EU and US.
Distribution will be a huge challenge, the vaccine has to be cooled to -70

I would be surprised if this vaccine is practical given the -70 ( I didn't realize that it was this vaccine that had to be stored at that temp). The Oxford study is due to release their results soon so hopefully achieve similar results.

Maintaining those temperatures is well within our technological capabilities.

All mRNA vaccines have to be stored at that temp.
Its just a matter of logistics, the tech to do that is very well developed and available.
A real challenge for the less developed countries for sure.
It is very good to have candidates with different technology

If this helps to sooth the collective neurosis of the COVID cult, then I'm all for it. Though I have to wonder if these people will ever recover from their mental breakdown.

Dude - if you see the whole world through a conspiracy lens, then all you're going to see are conspiracies. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Translation: How can we take good news for the entire nation and try to fake a reason to turn into "Poor, poor Trump." Fantastic.

Speaking of cigars, I've got one ready for January. I smoke two cigars a year. One is for the New Year and one I reserve for special celebrations. I was going to use the other to celebrate my completing my MBA, but seeing Trump go may eclipse that.

By the way, I'm glad that you see this as good news. For months, you've refused to acknowledge the existence of any good news at all. It's been nothing but doom and gloom, nonstop, all day, every day. It must be exhausting.

According the Wall Street Journal, the vaccine could be ready for distribution before the end of this year.

After seeing how this one person has effected the lives of others, it isn't so much imagination as an ability to observe the world around me. This will likely mean fewer refugees being sent to their deaths and fewer children being tortured. I will happily light up for that much alone. Plus this likely means less unchecked government power, which I'm always willing to light up for, though I understand your hatred for it.

Right, because no refugees or children were harmed during the presidencies of Obama, Bush, Clinton, etc.

How were you able to write that with a straight face?

You've been on the COVID hysteria bandwagon the entire time. Probably because you want to appear woke.

There was no policy during those administrations to jail children even if their parents had committed no crimes. There was under Trump.

Pretty easily. I've never seen a bigger cheerleader for executive overreach in the US than in Trump and his followers.

Or, you know, being able of admitting scientific facts. COVID is the biggest epidemic we've faced in a century. We're headed toward a quarter million dead this year. I know you have your fringe conspiracy theories, but I'll stick with where the evidence leads. Wishing upon a star isn't a strategy.

Some estimate that Bush killed a million Iraqis. I assume some of them were children.

Clinton's secretary of state, Madeleine Albright, is on record saying the sanctions against Iraq, which were estimated to kill 500,000 Iraqi children, were worth the cost.

Please, tell me more about your concern for children.

Then you should have no problem pointing to a single thread or post I've made where I cheer for executive overreach.

bioNtech and Pfizer have made it a point to stay out of the political fray in the US. They did not participate in warp speed for that specific reason.
No money ties to the US Government concerning the development and testing of their vaccine.

Opposite to Joseph, I appreciate that they waited with any kind of announcement after the election and did not influence the election.

Thank you for the fake "comparisons." 1) Quote me ever supporting those efforts 2) What does that have to do with us torturing law-abiding children in our own borders?

Sorry, but if you support Trump, you support executive overreach, hun. You can't do one without the other.

Except you ignore all evidence that contradicts your beliefs, which is the exact opposite of science.
