I want , I do not want . My. desire........ What does Jarvis want?

I don't rejoice in helping people. I do it because I want to help my fellow human beings. Who cares if they remember. I'm satisfied to have done it. We aare not encouraged to seek for reward of any kind.

In your heaven there will be no rejoicing over one mans achievements than another's. Each will have done the best they can. In life the achievements of a scientist who uses his intelligence to its full extent is no more relevant than the achievements of someone with learning difficulties who reaches the limits of his capabilities. Both have achieved all that could be asked of them. That's all that can be asked of a human being. In any heaven your god would not elevate the scientist above the other. Both have achieved what your god has for them.

“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.

    _________

    Matthew 16:27

    _______________

    1 Cor. 3:8
Now he who plants and he who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

    __________

    Matthew 5:10-12
“Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of
heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil
against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same
way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

    ________

    Luke 6:22-23
Blessed are you when men hate you, and ostracize you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil,
for the sake of the Son of Man. Be glad in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great
    in heaven.
For in the same way their fathers used to treat the prophets.

    ____

So Trevor, you were incorrect, right?
Will you post back and tell me you were incorrect?

    , , ,lol , ,
    You don't believe in God.
You don't even believe there is a Heaven.
Yet you talk about "In your heaven."
    That's irrational.
Moreover what you say about Heaven is incorrect -- see the bolded up-post

    _______

    , , lol , ,
    Amazing stuff.
You post about how things will be in a Heaven that you do not even believe exists.
See below for your statements describing life in the Heaven that you say does not exist.
You're an atheist. Atheists do not believe in God. If there is no God -- then there is no Heaven.
Why do you describe how life will be in a Heaven that does NOT exist.

    Straw Man.
    Nobody said there would be.
    You dreamed that up.

    Straw man.
Nobody said He would do that.
You don't believe Heaven even exists.

    He is your God too.
You will come to know this.
Its just a matter of Time.
    Also , ,
You will bow your knee to God.
You can bow your knee now ant enjoy salvation.
    Or you can wait for The Judgment and bow you knee there {when it will not do you any good.}
But come what may, you WILL bow your knee to God Almighty.
    How so?
Because the at The Judgment you will be overwhelmed with the Glory and Majesty of the
God who will sit in Judgment of you and you WILL BOW BEFORE HIM.

    Romans 14:11
It is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the LORD, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.'"

There will be no atheists at The Judgment.

If anybody is interested in the truth about how Christians developed their ideas about heaven from other religions and cultures then have a read of Heaven and Hell by Bart Erhman. Not good for fundies who are adverse to real history and prefer make believe.

Claiming to speak for God once again are we ?

Not sure whether or not the words you have put in God's mouth are correct - hey - maybe God Agrees with you.

The fact of the matter is that you have no clue who will be present at judgment day.

Christianity was born out of Judaism - and Judaism does not have much of a heaven or a hell - so they had to invent one.

Hell precisely illustrates the Judeo/Christian ethos. Fear of punishment is its principle characteristic.Yahweh/Jesus offer humanity two options; Believe or Burn. That is not a reasonable set of choices... it is extortion, plain and simple. It is in no way indicative of free will and it certainly does not indicate perfect love either.

if God is as arrogant and mean and cruel as you say he is, I spit on your God!!!

I would never bend the knee to such a cruel, sadistic God.

    False statement.
I did not say God was arrogant, mean, and cruel.
    That is what you said.
You will be totally overwhelmed at The Judgment.
    You will not be spitting.
You will be begging for mercy, but begging to late.
Bend the knee is not literal. It refers to the fact that at The Judgment
you will be totally dwarfed and totally overwhelmed by the Glory and
Majesty of God and your surrounding circumstances. See the passage
below to get some idea of what that will be like for you , , ,

    Start quote.
"All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you
will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.
God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give
relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when
the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful
angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the
gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting
destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from
the glory of his might on the day he comes to be glorified in his
holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have
    believed."
    ___ 2 Thess. chapter 1.
    End quote.

You will not be doing any spitting in the face of such as that up there in the
    bolded red.

If you believe that then your God is unfair and unjust. And you believe in him.

It's a long subject but I don't believe that Jesus really believed in the 'heaven and hell' that you talk about. That's Christianities teaching Jesus interpreted the Jewish Bible and that does not talk about heaven and hell in the real sense. It wasn't until just before Jesus that Jews began thinking about an afterlife. Jesus was simply taking those thoughts and interpreting them. But this Jesus was only a preacher man - he was not Divine. There is no evidence for this. These were his ideas.Interpretation of the thoughts of the day. If you read many things he said, they have been proven not to be true. His quotes about many Biblical characters, events and even prophets that have turned out to be false. He was brought up to believe the OT, like many Christians have been brought up to accept the Bible, and Muslims the Qu'ran. . He had no reason not to believe. He hadn't the knowledge that we have today - knowledge that you refuse to believe.

I don't believe that heaven exists, but from my own experiences I know what Christians believe - what I once believed.

I'm not getting involved again. You simply refuse anything that you don't agree with. There's a word for that - but not on here.

    Bye.

    Sure you are.
You here "getting involved" right now.
You were here before "getting involved" with your "no rewards" incorrectness.
I demonstrated you were wrong, and wrong Big Time too, but no admission
that you were wrong --- just more of the same proclamations of your rightness.
A perfect description of your posts. You refuse to believe in anything
you do not agree with -- and that's for certain too.
I have written you several lengthy posts packed with good and true
points -- you did not acknowledge the truth of any of them.
You cling to your anti-Christian Liberalism ---
that's not good for your soul.
    He is your God too.
And you are not qualified to sit in judgment on God.
You and I are mere men. We are not Omniscient and don't know everything there is to know.
You can't possibly know all the reasons God has for what He does, or does not do, here in the
world of the 21st century -- or in the past either.
That don't mean that you are right.
It just means that you listened to anti-Christian Liberal scholars whose
motive in writing their books was to undermine Christianity.
    You don't KNOW that.
You have no possible way to KNOW that is true.
I go with John chapter 1 -- and not with you on that issue.
    "The word was God."
    No.
    Not knowledge.
    Rather anti-Christian Liberal propaganda.
But Heaven believes that you exist.
    John 3:16
{1} believe and get Eternal Life
{2} refuse to believe and perish
    ■ And may yet come to believe again.
    ■ Christendom has 2.3 billion believers and you don't know
what Christendom believes --- nobody does -- its rather
confusing --- but it will get better as the millenniums roll
    forward.
A sly under-handed way to call me a name.
Anything you can not post, would be name-calling.
What does your Secular Moral Code have to say about
being sly in implying that I am a @#@#@
That's at least 2 times you have told me goodbye. I don't think
you really want to tell me goodbye --- cause you keep on
    replying to what I write.

    Keep in touch.

    Best.

    The OP doesn't understand Christianity.

Going to Heaven is 100% unrelated to one's actions or deeds.

ALL that matters, is that on your deathbed you accept Jesus as your Savior, the Messiah who died for the sins of mankind. Nothing else matters.

and that is why Christianity is a joke.

Yes ... good observation - but allow me to add a bit.

Fear of punishment has always been a religious motivator. - Religions that don't have this are few and far between - but not non existent.

In Ancient Egypt - they had the concept of "Maat" - like Kama - at the end of days your deeds were weighed on the Scales of Justice - if you were found too light - you were fed to the Monster .. but that was it -no hell .. writhing away - it just ended.

Religion was a way to control and opiate the masses - and leaders knew his and used this - and did so for good reason - because in the good old days - when folks rose up - they not only killed you but, when after your relatives and advisors as well.

Over time the fear factor increased - Zoroastrianism had eternal punishment - but once again for deeds.

Christianity further increased the fear factor and control with a neat twist .. deeds aside - if you "Question" or "Disbelieve" certain tenets of some Holy book - you will suffer eternal torture ... for ever and ever and ever ...... and ever.

Muhammad followed on this new formulation but further ramped up the fear factor ... Do this and roast on the fire .. do that and suffer eternal pain .. on every second page .... its ridiculous.

I guess we all should be so lucky to be beautiful and glowing and axe people to death.

What if those axed people didn't get a chance to repent because they're life was cut short? Now they are stuck in eternal damnation.

It would be better to be beautiful and glowing and not axe people to death.
You are glad that Karla Faye Tucker repented, are you not?

You would have preferred that she not commit the murders, however
since she did commit them, you are glad that she repented of her
sins, I feel sure you are. Since you have love in your heart for
    people.
Maybe they were Christians before she killed them?
And had already settled their Eternal Destiny by
accepting the lord Jesus as their Savior. Christians
do get killed by law-breakers and not all that rare
either. The Lord Jesus Himself was killed by lawbreakers
and so were many of His Apostles.

Yes. That was one of the points. The Christians would remember.

No I wasn't wrong. These verses don't encourage any to SEEk for reward for deeds done.In any case why should I believe that Jesus even said them. I've given you instances of clear errors in the Bible and you prefer to ignore them, so why should I believe anything you say? You're simply quoting your beliefs without any evidence that they are correct. . On the other hand if the Bible is correct then Jesus was in Egypt and Nazareth at the same time. If you can prove that to me I might believe you.

    Yeah you were wrong.
Ah but we are all wrong now and then , , /smile
Yeah they do clearly encourage believers to seek rewards for
deeds done. It is a good thing to seek rewards if your motive
is good in so doing. To seek rewards is very much like seeking
to live to please the Lord -- you know that if you do that He will
reward you with many blessings. Heaven itself is the ultimate
reward and we look forward to it. This is a good thing.
Because that would be a good thing for your soul. The Enemy of your
soul would be displeased if you did decide to believe the Bible was true.
And the Lord would be pleased.
And you would be greatly blessed.
They are not errors just because you say they are. You can be
totally incorrect in what you now think are errors and those
"errors" can later be demonstrated to have not been errors at
all, but merely human misunderstanding of what the Bible
actually said or what the Bible actually meant to say. Christian
Apologists have written books that demonstrated the solving of
    many alleged Bible errors.
    Believe what the Lord says.
"yet you refuse to come to me to have life"___The Lord Jesus John 5:40
    Believe John's gospel chapter 3

God sent His one and only Son.
    To save the world.
So that men could have Eternal Life.
    And not perish.
    Incorrect.
I can give you a lot of evidence that Christianity is
    correct.

to their own city, Nazareth” (Luke 2:39) before going to Egypt,
and then after traveling to and from Egypt they returned to
Nazareth again (Matthew 2:23)? The Holy Spirit certainly
could have inspired Matthew to write his truthful account of
some of the life of Christ without mentioning a brief “return”
to Galilee. However, it is also very possible, and perhaps
more likely, that Luke simply omitted Joseph, Mary, and
Jesus’ trip to Egypt, which sequentially could be placed
between Luke 2:38 and 2:39. Bible writers frequently
moved from one subject to the next without intending
to give every action that took place during a particular
time or the exact order in which something was done
    or taught"
    End quote.

Maybe? Maybe not. They go to eternal damnation if they hadn't repented because their life was cut short.
And you glorify her for repenting. Even though she could have sent some to eternal damnation. Doesn't sound like a religion that is worthy.
