My son tested positive 14 days ago. The rest of the family tested negative 13 days ago and I started symptoms 12 days ago. My son has had no symptoms in over a week. Mine went away after 5 days, but came back on day 7. My son and I get tested tomorrow. I suspect he'll be cleared and I won't. My wife got sick and dehydrated and spent a night at the hospital. They didn't determine anything, so she is dehydrated again and in a different hospital. She tested negative twice for covid and they tested her again today. She is on oxygen and has zinc and antibiotics in her iv. My life has sucked the last 2 weeks.

I'm a stooge who had a virus years ago that temporarily paralyzed the left side of my body. A phenomenon of the virus type. No stroke. No degenerative disease. A virus. I was relieved to hear it was not a stroke or a degenerative disease and then my sister reminded me "viruses kill people".
This virus may be no big deal to some. This woman knows first hand what a virus can do. I'll let the non believing people be test subjects and in my heart of hearts wish them well.

Also, my pullets are now laying but I can't give my "infected" eggs away. I'm getting 8 or 9 per day. The duck eggs are interesting.

I had a friend with guillaine-barre a few years ago. He fought his way back from it in his 80s and then had a heart attack after heart surgery. He was wheelchair bound for 3 years until his death. Al was a really nice guy. His wife took really good care of him. Al lied about his age to join the Army Air Corp. He didn't like to talk about it, so we avoided the subject. He was a B-29 gunner.

So then does the common cold or Flu kill.Of course it does.
80,000 or so in 2018.A Flu- shot is not a Vaccine.
There was a Swine Flu in 2009.Did the MSM make huge
headlines over that.Of course not.In fact the White House made sure
that testing for the Swine Flu was Not Reported.
Does any of that ring a bell.
Of course not.WHY ? Because it wasn't deemed Newsworthy.
    Starting to catch on.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Thankfully he had a good old lady who help him and stood by his side.
I noticed one day I had trouble trying to tie my shoe. I worked all day and by the end of the day my fingers and hand would not respond to my brain giving commands you take for granted. It took over half my body and labored my breathing. I honestly consider it one of the times I've cheated death because it got so bad. I went to sleep at its worst and thought I'm probably not going to wake up. I woke up and could move my thumb. You cant begin to imagine the pure joy it was to see my thumb move. My brain and thumb communicated. The things you take for granted everyday that you never really consider until it's gone.

I fully understand the position you are taking and your justification for taking that position, Foolie.
We dont agree on the level of seriousness with relation to this virus and that's fine.

This hospital seems to be doing the right things, so we feel better about it. Stay away from Presby on Walnut Hill in Dallas.

It makes all the difference when you can trust that the care someone you love is getting is the proper care. The worry is hard enough to deal with.
    How are you feeling?

My fever is back. Worse at night and my cough is worse, especially if I exert myself or bend over for more than a few seconds. Temp was 102 last night and 97.2 when I woke up. It's all over the place. I hope I just developed a sinus infection after beating the covid a week ago, but it's wishful thinking. I gave blood on the day that my son tested positive. I had to call and have them dispose that batch of double red. Now I can't give blood until after Thanksgiving.

Edit: My wife just texted me. Her covid test came back positive. She may be stuck in the hospital for a few days.

" I did Not have luncheon relations with that Woman "
" Now Timmy where and why did you say that. ? "
" On account that is what I heard Pop say on the phone
yesterday.I think he was talking to his office foreman."
    " Foreman ... shoreman Timmy.Your father { pop } is an
honorable Pop.He would never do anything to embarrass hisself
    or this Family. "
    " Gee Ma,I don't know about that.I heard him cut a flutterblaster
once in the presence of my 5th Grade teacher { a Nun }."
" Well Timmy ... that is only because Pop was at the Summer Church
Festival and had a chili dog with the works on it.Plus a big plastic
cup of Beer some say wasn't Budweiser. He had to go to the Mens
room and bumped into Sister Anne on his way and yes,cut a fudgy."
" I know because I was right behind pop and heard it butt good."
" Timmie try and not let your imagination git the best of you. "
    " But Ma,I heard it.Pop cut a Biggie.A whopper of a Flutterblast.?
" Makes no nevermind Timmie.Your Father { Pop } would never
have Luncheon relations with his secretary just for that reason."
    " What reason would that be,Mom.? "
" To show off his true talent of cutting the cheese."
" What cheese would that be Mom.? "
" The kind with No name and all ... we'll talk about that after lunch
    Timmie ".
    " By the way Ma,what's fir Lunch. " ?
    " Chili dogs,of course.But No beer.Just some Pop ".

We went on our weekly picnic this time we took the dogs again. I didn't go near the woods this time and didn't get redbugs as I did once before. Our game plan is this if anyone is there we leave if someone comes up we pack up and leave. Not meaning to be anti-social just staying safe. It was kind of spur of the moment instead of fried chicken and the fixings it was sandwiches and snacks.

" Gee Ma,what gives with this Pop stand.?
    Don't they understand humor."
" Well Timmie,I think even St.Thomas Acquinas who sits by
our Creators side after lunch, wonders as well.
In Fact I think it was Mr.Acquinas who once said :
" To be humorous is to be found out " '.
" Gee Ma I thought it was that Dude who liked Lillies."
" You mean the great humorous Oscar Wilde,Timmy ? "
" Is that what he was Ma. ? "
    " No Timmie.He was more of a Satirist ".
" You mean he liked to sit a lot.? "
    " Yes,one could say that,Timmie. "
    " Then I'm the one ... huh.? "
" Well we'll have to just wait and see,Timmie. "
    " What fir what,Ma. ? "
" For you to mention your Love of Lillies ? ".
    " Lilly Who Ma.I mean Lilly's what Ma.? "
    " That's my boy.Yer catchin' on. "

    " Tread lightly,she is near
    Under the snow
    Speak gently,she can hear
    the daisies grow "

Viruses do not treat all people the same. We are seeing that with this virus it is so different because not everyone has the same symptoms. I can get a common cold and get pneumonia. Viruses suck.

Pneumonia is almost Always a very serious health problem.
Flu ... not so much. Most Seniors who contract pneumonia either
    require serious hospitalization or Die.
No so with this Corn virus. In fact, our youth are almost entirely
Immune from this virus.Plus they may not have the capacity to
pass it along. We're still learning. But who are the ones Learning us.
    That is the Question.

This disease is a strange one. People that are vulnerable have to be extra careful.
