    History will say our reaction was a little overblown, but in general we handled it well.

    These things occur every 100 years. We don’t have a lot of experience with pandemics.

    You understand what a numerator and a denominator are right? See if you can puzzle the massively underestimated number of infected found in today's study from there. Again, I won't hold my breath.

    Correct. Right now NYC is declaring just about every death short of a gun shot to be due to the Corona Virus . . . and waiting on testing be damned. That skewers the statistics.

    The Chinese are such huge liars in regards to the Corona Virus that one HAS to be a liberal in order to believe them. They had only 83,783 infected and 4,636 in total die? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. On second thought, probably not even the average liberal is going to believe that.

    I'd like a random sample of an area to determine what percentage of the people have COVID antibodies and then look at the area deaths because of COVID.

    Only a moron wouldn't understand the point. If all reported deaths are being reported as Covid-19 without any verification, then the number of Covid-19 deaths are much lower than what is being reported to the public.

    No, your BS was about cause of death in NYC.

    As for DeBlasio... he screwed up by not shutting down NYC city earlier. Same goes for Cuomo who could have closed the city, too.

    It's conspiracy theory garbage. Besides, why would DeBlasio want to run up the COVID-19 deaths? It makes him look just that much worse.

    What is conspiracy theory garbage? Are all (hospital) deaths being counted as a coronavirus death or not? If there are deaths without evidence of coronavirus then the dude has a good point. From the information I've found, there appears to be some deaths being counted in which coronavirus is not evident.

    In Minnesota they're instructing the docs to put corona on the top line for the cause of death even if there was no positive test and they just have a suspicion it might have been corona. If they have a positive test and corona was a contributing factor which should go on the second line as contributing to the cause of death, they are still instructed to put corona on the top line for cause of death.

    That's unscientific, dishonest, and it's never been done like that before.

    And we don't know how many were infected. Without the denominator there's no way to calculate a percent. Antibody testing is the only way to find out how many people had the disease and were either asymptomatic or had mild enough symptoms that they weathered the disease without reporting it.

    Have posted the CDC guidelines from their own site proving that they are counting anything "suspected" as COVID19. That is scientifically ABSURD. Have also posted videos of practicing doctors complaining about it and how their own locales have just copied the CDC unscientific, bogus guidelines. Have posted all of it several times. Will not post such again because dishonest LW ignore it, welcome to PF, that's what YOU ALL DO, so why bother? Oh, you expect some Doctor or nurse to admit to fluffing the numbers? Sit and spin, the truth about the scam is coming soon anyway, good luck getting out from in front of that steamroller when people realize how badly they have been scammed.
