    Hmm, what is unintelligent about believing in the superstitions and myths of primitive, ignorant savages? Hmm, darn, I will have to think about that one for a while?

    It is not possible for me to become a religious nut. and it is not possible for my dog to participate in this discussion ......... I just asked him to do so and it did not happen, so, impossible.

    Oh, and as far as comparing the nuts, kooks and idiots that run around claiming they were "examined by aliens in UFO'S, to the nuts kooks and idiots that believe in the myths and superstitions of long dead primitive savages, EXCELLENT idea, they are quite similar.

    No, actually, medical science recognizes some people experience a placebo affect from religion.
    If a person desperately believes there is some all powerful being out there who is helping them get better, and they have a whole family around them praying to this guy to help you, then they probably have far more confidence that they will recover than some alone dude with no/weak faith. Thus some experience a placebo affect from it. Placebo`s, both psychological, and physical, have loooong histories of working in some cases. Religion is just a psychological placebo.
