So, please explain how this pompous scoundrel was “preserving, protecting and defending the Constitution” while he stood by, cheering on his goons as they attempted to prevent the “peaceful transfer of power”…!?
I don't think the Democrats number one goal is to indict Trump, I think their number one concern is eliminating Trump from occupying the White House again. It's apparent to me, that no matter what the rest of us think, there are a lot of people who we should listen to that are concerned for our country and they think Trump is a threat to it and worry what crazy stuff he might come up with if elected a second time. I think he would not if he runs, but he scares enough people to want to make sure he isn't in that position. Some people could claim it's the establishment looking out for it's own. Or some big overreaching effort to keep down Republicans and cling to power. No, there are many people who aren't part of a big fix who actually testify that, illegal or not, Trump did things that should disqualify him from holding public office. Period.
He may not have had a legal responsibility, I don't know, but surely you can't disagree that he had a moral responsibility.
He certainly had a responsibility. A moral responsibility. A leadership responsibility. It was his supporters who were attacking the Capitol. And he decided to sit back and watch for over three hours. He didn’t do a single thing to try to stop it. No calls to people who could take action. No calls to his supporters to stop.
The Secret Service appears to be in deep **** these days, but can anybody explain WTF T**** is talking about here? I tried this with a MAGA in another thread, but it was a useless slog to get him to understand anything.. SNIP “I want the Secret Service tapes far more than the Unselect Committee of political Hacks and Thugs ENDSNIP https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-want-secret-tapes-far-133850502.html Is dummy referring to the missing TEXTS??
It's pretty obvious that Trump politicized the SS with loyalists who took and oath to him over the country. No doubt that this is a massive cover up. Looks like a large group of people believe that they are above the law or can selective chose to ignore it. That's a massive problem since he had four years to interject these people everywhere. And, this is also happening in state houses everywhere as I type.
You understand that photo isn’t a huge fire right? It’s called over exposure and photoshop. If it was that large we’d have 100s of burn victims and photos of them all over the place. Please stop posting propaganda. Thanks.
The cultists are now forming a subdivision that should be called the AMERICANINOs. I know it sounds like a cocktail name, but it rather refers to the well-known RINOs and DINOs.
The POTUS took an oath to protest the US from invaders, foreign or domestic. While he might get by with no criminal charges, his behavior is way past acceptable.
It takes a lot of chutzpah to make this comment after what the Democrats have been doing the last six years, corrupting and weaponizing the entire government to destroy political enemies. You might want to sit this one out.
I thought he cared so much about it that he assaulted his driver and threw plates around. ITMT: https://www.bitchute.com/video/xj6vJXbWa08/
Ah, no wonder why he/she refused to condemn priests raping little kids and only wanted to focus on teachers talking to kids about sex. Go figure.
Hmmm seems you and the committee purposely level out. "According to a Jan. 6 timeline by the New York Times, the first barriers of the Capitol building were breached at 2:13 p.m. The Washington Post timestamps the first break-in at 2:15 p.m. The president’s first tweet addressing the rioters was published at 2:38 p.m., meaning Trump pled for peace after just 23 minutes. “Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement,” Trump wrote. “They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!” About 30 minutes later, Trump addressed the demonstrators again on the same platform. “I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence!” the president wrote. “Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order — respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!” At 4:17 p.m., or two hours after the first barriers of the building were breached, the president tweeted out a video demanding rioters leave the Capitol — a video Twitter promptly removed. Yet the committee got the headlines it was looking for, with media blindly adopting the “187 minutes” across their front pages. CNN aired the chyron, “NOW: Jan. 6 Cmte Details 187 Minutes of Trump Inaction” for much of the hearing’s first half." https://thefederalist.com/2022/07/2...aga-after-this-weeks-finale-ended-with-a-dud/ Perhaps had this been an true bipartisan hearing that would have been displayed. Perhaps it would have been explained that a President cannot order local police or the Capitol Police to do anything. He cannot even send in the military for security unless and until the Mayor and the Capitol leadership request it. Did they display the letter from the Mayor of DC premptively telling the DoD to NOT send ANY federal forces to aide with security in spite of the urgings of the Capitol Police Chief, the FBI and even TRUMP himself. Nope this was a made up cherry picked timeline and preplanned scripted questions without cross examination of challenge on the facts. Is it fodder for the rabid anti-Trumpers.....of course. Did we learn anything new? No. Did the committee reach it's unconstitutional goal of charging Trump with a crime? Not even with their biasly weighed presentations. Just another dud.
It is not domestic law enforcement. As a foriegner you might be under the impression a President is responsible for that but you should read up on posse comitatus.
The Democrat narrative and hope for this Hollywood produced clown show being a factor in the midterms won't help the Democrats, and they know it but they can't help themselves. I've never supported Trump, never voted for him, but America is better off with him in the White house than any Democrat. Mean tweets are less dangerous than evil policies. https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...n-6-committee-hearings-help-them-with-voters/ Democrats aren't counting on Jan. 6 committee hearings to help them with voters "But Democrats aren't counting on the panel's work and its focus on the attempt by former president Donald Trump and his allies to overturn the 2020 presidential election to help them much with voters this fall. That view was articulated at a recent private meeting with House Democrats where Speaker Nancy Pelosi had a clear message for her conference: Voters will not cast their ballots based on Jan. 6 and the events that led up to that deadly day. While it is the Democratic lawmakers job to serve as protectors of democracy, she told her members, voters will judge the party on the cost of food, gas prices and what the party is doing to help families. Pelosi’s remarks, described by multiple Democrats who attended the closed-door meeting, underscored the growing belief in the party that views on the insurrection have hardened along party lines like so many issues."
AGAIN the President could not just pick up the phone and call in the cavelry. He has no authority over the DC Metro Police or the Capitol police. Any statements or insinuations by the members of the committee or persons here otherwise are fallacious nonsense. This timeline the committee presented leaves out that indeed Trump did urge the protestors to remain peaceful and not engage in violence in order to present a false narrative. Many seem to have fallen for it.
The rioters had already breached police barriers before Trump ended his speech at 1.10 - hence 187 minutes.
The committee did report that, and also audio recording of the response from (I think) someone in the Proud Boys - along the lines of "That's significant for what he doesn't say - he's not asking us to leave".
By following the constitutional provision that a President does not have authority over local law enforcement. And read my post above containing the meassages Trump DID send but the committee conveniently leaves out.
