Links please. You need to back up your claim, I'm not going to do it for you. A poll 2 years out from an election isn't exactly meaningful anyway, but I still want to see them.

This has absolutely nothing to do with your claim that "EVERY poll out there has the greens slumping harder and faster than a dead dog". I looked briefly at the websites you mentioned, did a quick search, I could not find the polls you claim exist. I'm simply asking you to back up your claim from your direct challenge to me. You need to post them up, otherwise it's simply empty rhetoric. Also, link to the actual poll not to the homepage.

sorry mate but i am unable to do that.. not becouse they aint there but becouse i found those polls yesterday and now i dont know how to get back to them. Unlike some i aint a keyboard hero and for me even just getting on here to do this is new. But i will do my best to find them and post them as the best one had the greens at 3% of voters and to me that was great. People out there are seeing the greens for the commie (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s they really are.

Sorry mate, but I'm not going to believe something just because you said it. I'd be very interested in seeing these polls if you find them.

According to whom? So far, it's just your word.

You'll need to do a lot better than that.

Look in your web browser history; it will take you about 3 seconds.

We all look forward to seeing what you find ...

Again what you said was "EVERY poll out there has the greens slumping harder and faster than a dead dog". Which obviously means they are losing base support. I don't care if the 50% of the population that vote Liberal hate the Greens, that does not support your claim at all. What I want to see is polls that indicate Greens are "slumping harder and faster than a dead dog". You made the claim, don't get all whiny and defensive when you're asked to back it up. If the polls came out yesterday they should be EASY to find. I want you to find them because I would be interested in seeing them if they exist.

    Roy Morgan

    2011

    June 25/26 & July 1/2, 2011 (Face) Greens 11.5% down from 13%.

But has been 9%-13% up n down for a couple of years.

So no, no major fall in support.

    (which astounds me :omg:)

Nothing like a parochial Qlder Efjay.lol. I would of thought that the biggest poll taken recently was the Qld election. The greens are now extinct up here, regardless of what you believe, they are the new Democrats. I said it during the night of the federal election. They were thrust into a position of power by protest. They then had to back up their policies. When mainstream Australia finally saw how extreme they were and how out of touch they were with low income Australia the writing was on the wall.

You don't need polls to tell you they are as on the nose as the ALP, just go down to a supermarket in Cessnock, Mackay, Kalgoorlie, or any other mining area. Then again go and talk to people in Blacktown, Ipswich, Dubbo. I could go on.

Look I don't mind the Greens being there, we need an alternative view. This is what makes democracy. However they have held this government to ransom. And this stupid government has let them and in the process destroyed itself from the inside by maligning its core voter.....everyday working Australia.

I went to a talk Bob Brown held back in the eighties, while I was trying to work out who I was politically. I can safely say he is as nuts as Katter, just bent the other way. Not talking about his sexuality either by the way.lol. He was a pompous egotistical fool who thought all Australians earned $100k a year and drove a Volvo. I came away having no time for this dangerous man.

Anybody who preaches about the threat of carbon and then flys and drives everywhere is a hypocrytical ignoramous. GOOD RIDENCE !

    I think just the opposite:
The Greens will have a very bright future, as people realize, that
1- Labor converge more and more towards the ex-line or the tune of the Liberals,
2- the Liberals in general become more and more nationalistic brownish in tendencies, say Hitler one day, and best case scenario will stop our development. Worst case scenario would be wind the clock back another 50 years or so, which under Abbotts ist most likely....
3- and the Greens establish themselves with important and understandable visions for our future, such as Carbon Tax (I honestly would prefer a direct action plan), gay marriage for equality, higher taxes from the mines and the rich(that has nothing to do with communism, but you can't extract anything out of a poor mans pocket, can you?).
They also tend to understand more and more of finance, which lacked them in the past. I think in this area the will catch up, and who knows in 20 or 30 years they will become number one in our so far very very conservative nation...
Ah, and before I forget, have a great weekend....

Gotta love the ignorant ridiculous propaganda....
The LIBS have been the best at furthering AUST and developing this nation into the great nation it is today. It has been labor and MINORITY groups such as the greens with their EXTREMIST views that drag us down.
We wont have to worry about the greens after the federal election, while they will keep the support of ignorant fools they wont GAIN anything.

Watched Christine Milne do an interview this morning. What a TRANSPARENT LIAR! Friends of farmers? The most ecconomically responsible party of today? Back Door Bob was much more sly in the way he slithered through his interviews.

The Greens are anti farmers, as can be seen in their policy
the greens are anti business as can be seen in their policy
the greens are fiscal lunatics as can be seen in the "renewable" energy crap they push, crap that CANNOT work without major cash input from us the taxpayer.
In short the greens have no idea and are a extremist party best seen but not heard.

Which policy is this? Can you show us?
Which policy is this? Can you show us?
But you are happy to see coal used to create power - "crap that CANNOT work without major cash input from us the taxpayer."?!?!? Why are we giving miners a 2 billion dollar rebate on their fuel?!?!
    http://www.theaustralian.com.au/nat...l-subsidy-greens/story-fn59niix-1226321956496

Is it because fossil fuels "CANNOT work without major cash input from us the taxpayer"?

An "extreminst" party that out-polls the "extremist" Nationals who prop up the Liberal vote?

What the *** are you talking about here, what have coal fired powerstations got to do with diesel rebates?

Why are you mixing these two different sources of energy up?

And btw the carbon tax is what is going to cause the diesel rebate because truckies will feel it in the pockets, not because diesel in some way or another needs government assistance to do it designed function.

Bending and twisting again bugs, you should be sent to the principle for the strap.

    bugs banned, that's strange.
He at least is using his brain and can add 2 + 2 together, while others not so lucky are not banned and running wild with their comments...

An option to a carbon tax for Australia could be investment in turning deserts green.

Do a search for Global Dimming and you will read that the nation of Israel has a climate that is cooling. The fact that Israel on a per capita basis leads the world in planting trees and in investing in desalination of ocean water for agriculture...… could be the primary reason.

    Mate,
there are many options, if someone is interested in the future. Unfortunately we have a government, which is trying to do absolutely nothing positive and important for our future.
    Regards

I'm amazed that anyone would think that powering huge desalination plants to plant things in a desert is a smart idea for the environment. They do it because they have a lot of money, and only a small amount of poor quality land. Israel doesn't have a "climate" (other than a political one), they have localised weather. It's hugely energy intensive.

As for "Global Dimming", the fact that concentrations of pollutants in the atmosphere are blocking out more sunlight isn't particularly useful as it just creates a whole heap of other problems to deal with.

We still have the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (thanks Clive!) and we still have a lot of other environmental agencies and regulations.

It's just the Direct Action policy that isn't very good.

What we should be doing is just phasing out old inefficient power plants and upgrading the grid to make it more efficient, and gradually tightening efficiency standards for all products. It's not rocket science, it's just that people don't really give a crap.
