Israel has a message for Shifty Schumer: Sen. Schumer, We're Not a Banana Republic

Schumer demands that Israel elect a new government.

ISRAELI PM BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: 'I think Schumer's statements are wholly inappropriate. I think we're not a banana republic. The people of Israel will choose when they'll have elections, who they will elect and it's not something that will be forced upon us.'

Like demanding that the US dump Bush after 9/11.

'It's wrong to try to replace the elected leaders of a sister democracy, a staunch American ally at any time but especially during a time of war. Just imagine that, after 9/11 and when you were fighting al-Qaeda and winning, people will say oh, well the right thing -- some Israelis would say the right thing to do is now to have new elections in America or have President Bush resign. It's inappropriate, shouldn't have been said. It's wrong.'

'As far as my considerations, not for my personal survival, they're for the survival of the Jewish state. That requires pursuing the war, something that my government enjoys the support of the overwhelming majority of Israelis, and not only the majority of Israelis but the majority of the American people, 82%, support Israel, consistently, over the five months of the war, against Hamas. I don't know why the president and Senator Schumer made those statements. I think the only thing we should be focused on is changing the regime in Gaza, bringing down the terrorist regime of Hamas. And not the duly elected government of Israel.'

Insanity by Schumer and Bribed Joe.

Netanyahu Accuses Sen. Schumer Of 'Interference' In Israel's Democracy
    [IMG]
"is your memory so short? So quickly you forgot about 7 October, the worst massacre committed against Jews since the Holocaust?"

Betrayal by family always hurts the worst.

The US Left is trying to bring down the Jewish government to save Hamas, who invaded Israel and mass raped, murdered and beheaded unarmed young women and children as a strategy.

Israel has the remaining terrorists pinned in Rafah between IDF troops and the wall that Egypt has secured on it's border with the Terror State of Gaza.

Political leaders in the US have reportedly been increasingly frustrated with Netanyahu's leadership in Israel, particularly his insistence on pushing ahead with a planned assault on Rafah in Gaza.

I can't believe you believe that. The left is trying to appease voters who want to save Hamas. Those that want to save Hamas, oddly, believe the things Hamas says. I can't explain that but there is no excuse for it.

It is politics. It just goes to show you where the priorities of elected officials are. Please give us a single term limit for every elected office.

“Chuck Schumer is fighting to prevent Hamas from being destroyed. It’s disgraceful. He will never live this down.”
'An awful lot of the foreign policy and intelligence community seems anxious to keep Hamas alive.'

“All of American policy for the last two to three weeks, maybe month, has been to try to bully Israel into not finishing off Hamas. And now Chuck Schumer steps in and picks up that cudgel and he hits Netanyahu over the head…. Your legacy will be that you betrayed not just the Jewish people, but you betrayed Western civilization and your own country with these comments at a critical moment in history.”

Schumer picks now, after the mass rape, murder, and beheading of Jewish women and children in the Gazan invasion of Israel, to plant the knife firmly into the back of Israel.

'The Obama administration hated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the fire of a thousand Suns, because Bibi would not bow to the Obama “grand bargain” to hand the region to Iran. What infuriated Obama more than anything is that a large percentage of Americans supported Bibi’s position and saw in him something Obama and his VP Joe Biden lacked: A strong leader willing to fight against the enemies of Israel, and America.'

'Team Obama runs the Biden administration’s foreign policy, so the hate remains. Team Biden wants to force a ceasefire on Israel, leaving Hamas in control of Gaza, and Netanyahu will not capitulate….'

'Schumer’s attack on Netanyahu must be viewed in the context of the Biden administration’s regime change agenda in Israel. Many other Democrat Senators have made attacks on Netanyahu, including Chris Van Holen from Maryland, who is increasingly looking like Hamas’ greatest defender in the Senate:'

“I have to admit that I underestimated the mendacity of these people.”

I've Won an Argument about Israel I Wish I Hadn't.

'Over my 20+ years of blogging at Volokh, commenters have often questioned why I focused my attention on unfair attacks on Israel, rather than on Israeli policies I disagreed with that might be obstacles to a future peace deal. My response was consistent: debates over specific Israeli policies were a sideshow. Israel's harshest critics simply wanted Israel to cease to exist, and given that this goal could likely be achieved only via genocide, I chose to focus my attention on that. My commenters were also pretty consistent, arguing that I was being paranoid, that the vast majority of critics, even the harshest ones, wanted a two-state solution, not to eliminate Israel.'

    If only that were true.

'We have had something of a test of this debate since 10/7. Hamas is a terrorist theocracy with explicitly genocidal goals. It carried out a taste of those goals on 10/7, and its leaders promised to repeat those atrocities again and again until the "Zionists" were driven from Israel.'

'So whatever one thinks of Israeli policy, or Israel's eventual response to 10/7, one would think, based on my interlocutors' position, that critics of Israeli policy would nevertheless agree on one thing: Hamas must be deposed, one way or another. There is no plausible two-state solution with Hamas in power; the harsh critics are almost all self-styled progressives, and there is nothing progressive about Hamas's policies toward freedom of religion, LGBTQ rights, women, militarism, antisemitism, and so on, nor its constant theft of humanitarian aid. Hamas's rule in Gaza is essentially every Progressive's worst nightmare.'

Yes, I was shocked by this as well.

'Yet, ever since at least 10/10, when it became clear that Israel's reaction to Hamas' atrocities was not going to be to capitulate, the harsh critics have been all but unanimous in calling for Israel to essentially surrender ("immediate ceasefire") with Hamas still in power, and have almost to a person not called on Hamas to surrender and abdicate.'

    Exactly.

'I have to admit that I underestimated the mendacity of these people. As much as I knew that they hated Israel much more than they were concerned with the well-being of Palestinians, I didn't imagine that they would be willing to run interference for, if not outright support, Hamas, certainly not after Hamas put its brutality and genocidal intentions on display for all the world to see. I would have expected something more like "immediate ceasefire, but the world has to work on replacing Hamas with something else."'

I'm with you. We are all shocked, but this is a truth that must be squarely faced.

THE ROACHES SCATTER WHEN THE LIGHTS GO ON: Columbia student group panics amidst House investigation into school’s anti-Semitism.

'A pro-Palestinian group at Columbia University warned students to be cautious about what they do online in the face of a Congressional investigation into the Ivy League over anti-Semitism.'

'In a March 5 Instagram post, Columbia’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) issued an “Urgent Notice To The Student Body,” warning that “Columbia Wi-Fi & services are being surveilled in a McCarthyite program to provide evidence for the House committee investigation.”'

Barnard student tries to keep Sikh group neutral, gets forced out by anti-Israel extremists anyway

'The SJP announcement comes after the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, led by Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.), began investigating Columbia this February over its alleged “environment of pervasive antisemitism,” as Campus Reform wrote.'

'In its Instagram post, SJP advised students to “download a VPN on your [personal devices],” “enable a hotspot that is connected to your personal cell phone data,” “disable WiFi connection to Columbia WiFi unless absolutely necessary,” “use Signal at all times for sensitive messages,” and “use Cryptpad for all sensitive document sharing,” among other measures.'

They stopped short of suggesting burner phones to help conceal their anti-Semitism from investigators.

US voters not thrilled with anti-Semites.

Anti-Israel ‘Squad’ Rep. Jamaal Bowman trails rival George Latimer by 17 points.

    Mr. Fire Alarm.

'Westchester County Executive George Latimer leads Bowman 52% to 35% among Democrat primary voters in the 16th Congressional District, which takes in southern Westchester County and parts of the northeast Bronx.'

'Among Democrats who voted in at least three of the last four primaries, Latimer’s lead grows to 21 percentage points — 56% to 35%, according to the survey conducted by veteran Democrat pollster Mark Mellman.'

    He's a Democrat who doesn't hate Israel.

POISONED IVY: Jewish Yale Student Stabbed in the Eye During Campus Protest.

'Hundreds of Yale University students participated in an anti-Israel demonstration on campus Friday night. Non-students participated, too.'

'Things turned violent when a female Jewish student was stabbed in the eye with a Palestinian flag by a male protester. She reported the physical attack but police said they could do nothing.'

If the stabber is on a student visa, they need to be expelled and deported. Jewish students should not be in fear on our campuses.

More on the Yale Protest That Hospitalized Jewish Student

Pro Hamas Thug on a US campus, stabbed a Jewish girl in the eye with a Palestinian flag.

He stabbed her because she was openly Jewish on a US Poison Ivy League Campus.

'the protest wasn't just any random spot on Yale's campus. They were on the site of a World War II memorial honoring Yale students who fought and died in the war. The protesters are calling for the destruction of Israel and attacking a Jewish student on a site dedicated to those who fought to defeat the Nazis. Also, the "demands" of the rioters were rather ridiculous. They are calling on Yale to stop funding Israel, but only a tiny fraction of the school's massive endowment goes to military contractors who are only tangentially involved in Israeli military activity.'

They'll take any excuse to act violently and attack Jews.

'Pro-Palestinian protesters at Yale University this weekend occupied a World War II memorial, tore down an American flag that flew there, and sent a Jewish student to the hospital as administrators stood by and refused to break up the protest, which violated several university rules.'

If only they wore MAGA hats, then the rules could have been enforced.

'The protest on Beinecke Plaza—a quad in the center of campus dedicated to Yale students who fought in WWII—focused on the university’s investments in military contractors and included graduate students participating in a "hunger strike," now in its second week.'

I guarantee you that the 'hunger strikers' are sneaking food when no one is looking. It's all lies with some folks.

'The investments comprise a tiny share of Yale’s $40.7 billion endowment: The school holds just $21,000 worth of stock in military contractors.'

'When a Jewish student asked campus police officers why they weren't intervening, they were told that the police were "waiting for the administration [to give] them the green light to disperse the protest." It was the Yale administrators who allowed all of this to happen. When campus officials were asked about it by reporters, they declined to say whether or not that had given authorization for the protest to be dispersed.'

LEADERSHIP: The American Left Is in the Grip of an Antisemitism Crisis and Bribed Joe Is AWOL.

'American Jews need to hear more. Muslims who may be getting the idea that it is OK to hint at genocide need to hear more. College presidents, administrators, and leaders need to hear more. And students who stupidly, blindly believe Hamas propaganda and don't fully understand the position they're taking need to hear more.'

'Where is Joe Biden? He gave a national address hysterically warning about the extremism of his political opponents. He gave an address warning about white supremacy. But this isn't a political crisis where he can signal to one of the factions of his coalition that he understands their fears. He needs to deliver a national address condemning not just antisemitism, but the people demonstrating on college campuses as well. They are spewing hate, and all the "aspirational rhetoric" notwithstanding, this is a moment for presidential clarity.'

Clarity from Bribed Joe? That's a big ask.

'IMAGINE BEING A VOCIFEROUSLY ANTI-ISRAEL CONGRESSMAN, AND BELIEVING THAT GAZA HAS A CHIEF RABBI': Progressive NY Rep. Jamaal Bowman duped by fake ‘Chief rabbi of Gaza’.

The government would not allow Jews 'in Gaza, and the only ones there now are hostages and IDF soldiers attempting to rescue them.

'Bowman, a member of the far-left House “Squad,” has become one of the most vocal critics of Israel and defenders of Hamas in Congress.'

'He is currently locked in a fierce primary battle with Westchester County Executive George Latimer, with polls suggesting Latimer could beat him badly.'

    Hopefully he loses.

'“I’m organizing an aid convoy to the @Columbia campus,” Goldstein posted last week. “We need: Glamp Tents; Volunteer Baristas; Oat Milk; Keffiyeh’s; Canada Goose Jackets; and Alo Leggings.”'

'The account is operated by a pro-Israel attorney named Michael who declined to provide his last name.
“Antisemitism is a low IQ disease,” Michael quipped to The Post when asked about the exchange.'

    Indeed it is.
