    *scratches head*

He said nothing about the President's race. Not a single word, nor did he hint at it in any way.

How about not playing the race card anymore? Personally, I do not like our current President either. But I also did not like President Carter or LBJ either (I have mixed opinions about President Clinton). However, he is both the President and Commander in Chief, so I always have and will give respect when talking about them. If I like them or not.

Personally, I find it rather hypocritical when people would blow a gasket when somebody would talk about President Obama in a disrespectfull manner, then turn right around and use the same or worse language towards President Bush.

And even when I agree with the sentiments, I generally tune out such people because of their extreme incivility and lack of respect.

I do not like the President because I see President Jimmy Carter II. I would not care if he was black, white, yellow, red, purple, chartuce, muave, pink, or green. And I am sure most of those that disagree with him would share this opinion.

Who's making up offensive terms for the President based on his ancestry?

    Mad world? Go where?

Didn't need to, did he? From outside you are all very easy to see through, I'm afraid. I don't play cards - boring waste of time. I always call President Bush President Bush when I call for his War-Crimes trial. I call Bliar bliar though, because he was a b liar, and if he doesn't like it, let him sue.

Did you see Bale's wife on the Today Show this AM?

She had a small smile playing around her lips thru the whole interview.

    Something is amiss.

Obama had plenty to say about the soldier who killed the Afghan civilians, didn't he?

He told us not to rush to judgment when speaking of the Islamic Extremist who killed fellow soldiers at Fort Hood.

So pay some attention and stop talking drivel. President Obama has had to rush the accused murderer from Afghanistan out of the reach of justice, as you very well know, and has therefore to make mouth-music. Are your racists totally insane, or does your hatred of your President leave you in a perpetual fit?

First of all, you do not have one shred of evidence to show that I am being racist. So listen to Mushroom, and drop that card.

I do not hate Obama. I dislike what he is doing to the United States.

Many say 'he does not hate a President with African ancestry'. Others tell the truth. Sorry: almost all Republicans are racists, as you well know. I don't live there and don't have to pretend: I just read the right-wing posts on here, and disgusting they are too.

Yes, we have seen Afghan "justice".

And before you talk about lack of justice, why not waiting until after the trial is done? YOu may want a 5 minute trial and a public execution in a soccer stadium, but most of us are more rational then that.

And please, do not talk to me about racism. You do not know me, or my beliefs. I am proud of being "color blind", and treate everybody equally. Always have, always will. I simply judge people based on the content of their character, not the color of their skin.

And I don't like the President's character. But he is still my President, so will continue to be respectfull towards him (and I defy you to find any post where I have not been), and will follow any lawfull orders he gives me.

And if I am such a racist, then why was my candidate of choice Herman Cain? Riddle me that one if you please.

First of all, Obama is half White. That aside, I don't care if he was clear, opaque, sparkling glitter, cyan, or any other color. He's a disaster nonetheless.

To say that almost all Republicans are racist is just unfounded.

Shrub was the disaster, Obama was left with his mess. 80% of the republican party is southern confederate remnants. You know, bigots.

Actually, the "Southern Confederate Remnants" are still in the South.

    They are known as Democrats.

The Republicans in the region rose as those that grew up during the Civil Rights movement reached the age where they could overthrow the "good old boy" mentality that had almost total control of the politics of the region for over a century.

You know, the ones like George Wallace, Eugene "Bull" Connors, and Art Hanes. You know, the kind of "good Democrats" that had almost total control of the region before the Republican Party finally took it away from them.

I have a friend that used to attend George Wallace Community College. She always called it "George Wallace may he rot in hell forever Community College".

    Typical liberal talking points. Unfounded.

The KKK was founded by liberal Democrats: Take a look.

It always amuses me how people (typically Democrats) don't realize that the vast majority of the "good old boys" responsible for slavery and institutional racism were identified with the Democratic party.

That is because far to many are disassociated with the reality of "the south".

From the end of Reconstruction until the Civil Rights era, the Democrats held strong control over the South. They dominated in politics, and established the Jim Crowe system. But after WWII, you had an increasing number of people who saw that things were wrong and started to change them.

By the 1960's, the "good ole' boys" were on their way out. A younger and more progressive group was now beating on their door from within, as the rest of the nation beat on it from without. And by the late 1970's, most of them were on their way out. Desegregation replaced segregation, and the party that supported it was on the way out also.

And look at their figureheads. George "segregation today segregation tomorrow segregation forever" Wallace, Bull Connors, and the rest of their type were pretty much history. Governor Wallace claimed to have a change of heart after he was shot, but most in the area knew it was not real. Sure he placed blacks into important positions in his administration, but he still ran it fully himself, and did not allow others to handle the real work (even during the tenure of his wife when she was governor).

Is it any wonder that during this era, most blacks in the South were Republicans? They remembered the horrors of what Democrats had been doing to them for over a hundred years, and wanted nothing to do with them.

But today it is a far different world. We now live 50 years after those events, and most people have little understanding of what happened. I still laugh whenver I remember the angry woman back in 2000 who told the world that the "Republicans were stealing their votes, just like they had during Reconstruction".

I laugh, and then cry. Because she has absolutely no understanding of what she is talking about. And that makes me sad.

However, the Democrats are starting to make some inroads in the South again. But this is also not the Democrats of the 1960's era. Thankfully this is a group that does not try to use it's party as a way to bring back the institutions of the past. However, even Southern Democrats are much more Conservative then those from other parts of the nation.

Long ago, I realized that if you take a Southern Democrat and drop him into New York or California, they (*)(*)(*)(*)ed near look like Republicans. And if you take a Republican from California and drop him in the Deep South, they come off looking like Democrats. This is simply a matter of regional standards, and has nothing to do with race. Simply how the people were raised and their own beliefs.
