I know you rightwards find comprehension extremely complex but drawing conclusions on weightless misrepresentation just takes the cake. One of your pals takes a huge credibility hit and the fellow rightards come in swinging with a sad attempt at stopping the blood spill. Too late, its time for a transfusion. We know and you know the truth, but keep em swinging it won't save ya

Hey Gazza the great didn't even use the same passage for starters...:roflol: Keep throwing those wild haymakers AT, got a let you know your footwork is horribly flat and awkward. Ding Ding Ding.....was that the final round?

Yea we're talking about m2.... so errr, keep swinging.

Anyway my point is what m2 said can be taken two ways, and you lefties have been having a whinge and victim bash in defense of someone taking insult to something m2 said and then further went on to allude to another insult, but didnt say; that you only saw the one way and therefore reacted the way you did to my post - hence the one eyed statement. It gets old explaining my own jokes but there you go, at least youz fell into line and jumped to his defence with typical narrow vision proving my point. Even had Gwen demanding for the intepretation which was invited to be written between the lines to be pointed out where it was written... like, how the frak is that even possible!? It's between the lines and since it was an invitation to intepret it was not only an invitation to intepret how it was 'meant' but also how it could be perceived - given the conditions in how it was presented.

It actually sounds more like Gary is accusing Cats of supporting pedos.

Two religions; Islam & Catholicism that should have been abandoned when humanity left the cave, but they are still causing massive problems and conflict in 2015.

Isn't it time modern humanity moved on from discriminatory, racist, antiquated trouble-making religions?

Some people just never learn. :wall:

Tens of thousands of men, women and children around the world are dying every day due to no food; no water and no shelter, and some of you people, who claim intelligence, want to quibble and snipe over which antiquated religion is the least dangerous; least discriminatory; and the least racist to all humanity.

Have you ever considered for one brief moment between your own paranoid delusions of what constitutes "utopia", that any religion that discriminates, and who is racist against any individual or group, is NOT compatible with humanity?

Are you people sitting on your brains? :hmm:

Might be a twisted way of trying to get out of something. Trying to get out of not apologising for saying someone called someone a pedo - when they didn't. Quite pathetic the ducking, weaving and lame explanations.

LMAO, I was reading AT's post for the first time in your quote, and I thought to myself... Then I looked at your comment. Yes, that is exactly what I thought.

Always good to have someone reminding us of the right moral....
I don't regard myself as highly intelligent, but believe to know right from wrong. Which obviously differs to other people. Hence exchange....

I don’t think you do know right from wrong in its true context. You only accept something as being “right” when it fulfils your moral agenda and imperative, and we both know that’s not how it works. You have attempted to make a direct distinction and parallel between modern day Christianity and modern day Islam, even though you are completely aware that the two religions have nothing in common, based on their current practising philosophies; ideologies and doctrines. You made these generalisations because you know that Christianity has undergone internal religious doctrine enlightenment and self-improvement throughout the centuries to be more compatible with what humanity wants and needs. We know its not perfect, but at least they are trying. You also know that Islam has undergone no such procedure of self-enlightenment, and is still an antiquated religion that actively teaches its followers to discriminate on gender and sexuality, and be racist towards anyone who is not of the Islamic faith.

I think you are having a crisis in coming to terms knowing that Islam is a BAD religion, and will never be compatible with Australian values. You are starting to question what's the real reason behind so many people (Muslims) who willingly follow such a bad religion. You need to remember one thing, when people come to Western countries like Australia, religions become a choice, not something that is forced upon them, like it might have been in their homeland. Its up to the individual whether or not they want to follow a good religion; a bad religion, or no religion at all.

Why would anyone think it’s a good situation and a good idea to allow a religious group of people into a country that willingly follow a bad religion that actively promotes discrimination on gender and sexuality, and racism against anyone not of their faith?

Now we see were everybody stands. If you want to justify comments of support of child abuse by another poster I think we see were the depravity lays...

If you have no idea that attempting to politicise Child Abuse is what created this problem then you really are as ignorant as you pretend. The real issue is, the attempt to insult anybody these posters do not agree with, by claiming support child abuse to oppose Islam. If that is not trivialising child abuse (by laying false claim, ignoring the reality) then you people really are ignorant and deserve no consideration…

and on your support the poster continues to become more outlandish...
Who are those supporting??? Oh right, let us not let the truth get in the road of insult and insinuation. Oh and look who has supported the comment at the bottom.

I hope you "proud leftards" are happy, the supposed left support social policy and here we have classic example of the perverted way they pretend to care while trying to manipulate the issues as some sort of evidence.

Obviously, insult is all you have because integrity is not a quality the Greens supporters and selected ALP supporters have.

Others have judged and NOW you want to argue they are wrong... depraved and despicable people stand accused and demonstrated...

And of course who does care about the people, as long as you can score your political points…

We are governed by nature. Religion can say what it wants about adultery...fact is nature trumps all. We as a species are programmed to have many partners. Its good for the gene pool and to mix the DNA well. Marriage is man made like the bible and god, religion etc. They are unnatural ideals that cause unnatural behaviors...and sickness thinking. Religion gives the free pass to go against natures rules and label them 'evil'. Nature does not give a hoot about our silly little idea's. Remember marriage is nothing more than a business deal..you are now partners in the deal, gains and loses are now at stake. How phony can you get. I believe it is written that if a man and woman desire to be together..then in the eyes of God they are married. Therefore the material ceremony we call marriage is null and void....you could view it as a sin as it is a material union not a spiritual one. Marriage has nothing to do with sex by the way.

From my research Islam is basically a religion put together by a warlord who had a taste for young girls. A bastardized version of the bible to suit his needs and tastes....make them acceptable. There are many different versions of Islam..depending on the location and beliefs of the society that Muslims are presently in. Not all those who believe in Islam believe the same things. Problem with Islam is it allows and accepts extreme human rights abuse, appalling treatment of woman and hate towards those not Islam...and therefore the moderate believers are viewed as the grass, and the extreme believers the snakes. From this scenario there is no good that can come from Islam as the grass hides the snake, or declines from revealing it.

This issue is something those that support Islam need to sort out and reform quickly. The negative light that is being cast on Islam around the world by the extremists., will have a big ripple effect...one they may not recover from.

    My 2 cents worth

    Good health to you all.

Good for her. There are so many good people out there of all and any religions (yes even JW's - although you will not get me saying that after they have woken me when I am trying to sleep after night duty!!)

I really wish they would take the appellations away from extremists by calling them "Muslim". They are terrorists end of story. Let us refuse to acknowledge their religion and take that away from them

Yeah nice one Bowerbird, we should continue to dehumanise our enemies so we can justify some more air strikes on the other side of the world.

    Bb,
one aspect, if not the biggest and greatest of our modern culture is our diversity.
You are absolutely right, we have to stand up for the good ones, and point our fingers at the bad ones.....
The majority of Muslim are good, as the majority of Christian are good.
    Let us celebrate our diversity.....
    Cheers

    Ziggy,
you know that I am always against wars.....
I was against the Iraq War, which finally gave us ISIL.

But now as evil is on the loose, what can we do? We have to react.

I think we have to stop the land grab of Israel towards its neighbors. And we also have to stop blaming all Muslim for the terrorist acts of some.

You're "always against wars"... except for this one? Way to stick to your principles.

I'm not always against wars, but I'm definitely against this one.

"Evil" is a totally stupid religious/fictional term that shouldn't be used when actually referring to real people.

So after millions have died, and tens of millions have been displaced, what exactly has been achieved?

But yes, based on our amazing success so far, it makes perfect sense to continue exactly what we've been doing for the last decade.

In another 10 years we'll have a whole new generation of young middle eastern adults who've grown up uneducated, in a war zone, being fed propaganda by extremists and having bombs dropped on them by the west.

    Mission Accomplished.

    Not as simple as that

It is the online radicalisation that is a real problem - that is why I suggest getting rid of the term "muslim" and just brand all terrorists as terrorists. Take away the cause that is associated with the act.

Sigh - let us go back to why people do this, These are not sociopaths but people often acting for a cause or a "greater good". If the cause becomes anonymous it might lessen the appeal

You're right, it's not as simple as a warped sense of moral relativism from people who've spent most of their lives at war and them grooming vulnerable young people through the internet into their cult under the guise of legitimate religion, and there being no real solutions.

But it is certainly as simple as just branding people "terrorists". That'll fix it, for sure.

I have an even better idea. If we just explain to our disaffected youth that you're either on "Team Australia", or you're a "terrorist", they won't even want to be terrorists anymore and the whole issue will disappear.

If we just don't use the word "Muslim", that is totally going to convince everyone that Islamic State doesn't have anything to do with Islam.

You're right, ISIS is the last place you'd find a sociopath. They are all just basically well adjusted people who've slightly misinterpreted the Koran.

There is nothing attractive about being a "terrorist", they're all just concerned with their "cause". It certainly has nothing to do with greed or power. Being part of a powerful brutal criminal organisation is not attractive at all. We should explain this to the Mafia and other criminal gangs, they could really benefit from this revelation.
