Which of the four categories experiences the reduction, in measures from most to fewest? List them so that they may be compared and examined.
Correlation IS evidence. And statistically significant correlation is strong evidence. If you want proof....you want the impossible
Keep saying it all you want, nobody buys it because you have no argument but a correlation that does not include a multitude of factors. We're not looking for proof, we are waiting for you to make a good argument besides some states with strict gun control have fewer suicides. We can make this argument........ Using your methodology, some states with the least gun control also have fewer suicides. Conversely, some states with the highest suicide rate have strict gun laws....
Some States with rates above the national average..... Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Maine, Washington........ Now, let's see you come up with a stand up argument other than a simple correlation the excludes many factors. Some states with rates below the national average........ Texas, Georgia, Louisiana..........
The distance between the continents of North America and Europe increases by about an inch per year, as does my waistline. Correlation approaches one, yet I highly doubt there's a causal effect. Until you learn some basic statistics you will continue to misinterpret data and reach conclusions not supported by data or science.
If the anti-gun side could not argue with fallacious appeals to emotion, ignorance and/or dishonestly, they'd be silent.
So now you have gone from "for sure" to "likely". Because strict gun laws don't prevent lawful citizens from owning guns, these citizens are not effected by the strict gun laws should they decide to commit suicide. Some of these states that have strict gun laws have higher rates of suicide and some of them have low rates of suicide. Some of these states that have less strict gun laws have lower rates of suicide and some of them have low rates of suicide. None of your argument makes sense. Because your complete argument is one statistic that doesnt include many other factors. You have not even attempted to make any other argument to back up your point.
You have no reference so I have no idea where you get your data from. Here is mine http://politicsthatwork.com/graphs/gun-deaths-by-state - - - Updated - - - You make claims without any references so I can not take it very seriously. Show your work.
The goalpost must be mounted on rails. Further proof that if the anti-gun side could not argue with fallacious appeals to emotion, ignorance and/or dishonestly, they'd be silent.
Half of all suicides are gun related. http://thehill.com/blogs/congress-b...evention-month-half-of-suicides-are-committed Suicide rankings by state. There are strict gun law states with suicides above and below the national average and vice versa. https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm6345a10.htm There is no correlation between gun laws and gun suicides.
Just as is it impossible to provide an example of a gun control law that will prevent someone with a gun from killing himself.
There is significant correlation bettwenn gun laws and even gun ownership and suicide - - - Updated - - - Many suicides could be prevented with gun control The worst states for suicide have the most lax gun laws.
Not according the the CDC. https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm6345a10.htm Please make an argument for your claim. Which gun control laws in particular prevent lawful gun owners from shooting themselves?
Wyoming alaska and montana have strict gun laws? - - - Updated - - - http://www.vpc.org/press/states-with-weak-gun-laws-and-higher-gun-ownership-lead-nation-in-gun-deaths-new-data-for-2014-confirms/
4 of the top ten states in suicide have strict gun laws. You waste your time when you link to the rabidly anti gun VPC. They have no impartial credibility.
Who in the top ten in this chart has strict gun laws http://www.vpc.org/fact-sheets/state-firearm-death-rates-ranked-by-rate-2014/
I don't know. I don't read anything by the Bloomberg funded anti gun website. However, The CDC, an impartial organization, shows that New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada and Oregon are in the top 10 states for suicides. https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm6345a10.htm
Then show me the CDC gun death total. Just so you know in the list....they all get a F from the Brady group.
