www.politicalforum.com was delisted from Google

Isnt that just hilarious?

I guess someone at 'google' took this site from their search parameters.


i wonder why.

 

It seems that google has blocked this site from appearing on its search engine!

Just several days ago, if one typed in "political forum" into a google search, this forum came up as the number two result. Now this forum does not appear in either the first or second page!

Not only that, but when I type in a specific thread title, with my member name, together with the words "political forum", this forum still does not appear in a search!

Here is just one example. Type in "Anders Hoveland homeless dropping dead like flies Political Forum" to the google search. I know for a fact that this thread used to appear among the first few results even when I only wrote "homeless dropping Dead Like flies". (just to avoid confusion if you try this, I also posted this same thread title on two other forums, but this really does not matter)

If you type either of these searches into the "yahoo" search engine, then this forum still comes up! So it is just google.

Or try typing in the thread title "How Far Would Gay Marraige Get With Polygamy Along For The Ride?" into the google search. This forum does not appear. Even typing "Political Forum How Far Would Gay Marraige Get With Polygamy Along For The Ride?", this thread still does not appear in a google search.

I am absolutely certain threads from this forum appeared near the top of a google search before. And it is not just that google stopped showing results from online forums, because many other (and much less popular) results from threads in other forums still appear.

I even tried typing http://www.politicalforum.com/ into the google search, and this site still did not appear!

Google, or one of the employees at the company, has BLOCKED this online forum ( http://www.politicalforum.com/ ) !

Perhaps there were certain political threads on this forum someone did not like.

When the largest internet search forum blocks one of the largest online political discussion forums, what does this mean for the freedom of information on the internet?

 

There are several other confusingly similarly named sites that appear, but none of them is actually this forum, politicalforum.com

Type "politicalforum.com" into a bing or yahoo search, and this forum will be the #1 result. But it is being blocked by google.



I am absolutely sure of this! For example, when you type "affirmative action = racism against asians", politicalforums.com comes up as the first or second result in any other internet search, but not in google.

I know for a fact it once appeared first on a google search... that is how I found this place.

Very strange... doesn't seem to show politicalforum.com at all... even the links to Lighthearted FLOTUS are quotes from some other site about the thread on this forum.

 

This forum that we are in, politicalforum.com, is one of the largest online political forums for free and open discussion.

politicalforum.com gets 16248 pageviews per day, and according to websiteoutlook (which is one of those free online estimates) this site is worth 37040 USD ! That is much more than most other forums. (not that it is probably really worth that much, but it gives a good comparison of how popular this forum is compared with other sites)

This free online calculator says this forum is worth 27,200 dollars, and gets 139,000 visitors every month,

Politicalforum.com is a big important forum, and google has blocked it.

 

It's more likely that recent changes have affected Google's ability to crawl PF.

I mean, look at the meta data for the page:

<meta name="keywords" content="politics forum, political polls, political debates, political discussion, politics message board, us politics, world politics, political news, election 2008, 2008 election" />

A bit outdated but probably not the problem.

Maybe the site owner isn't allowing search engine crawlers any more or accidentally killed access to vital directories...

interesting, nothing. It's a form of Propaganda. It's also a suppression of free speech. And they've been doing this for years. They're just more open about it now. By the way, AOL did the same thing.

 

If you are predominantly anti western the chances are the forum will be shut down eventually.

The forum owner has been made aware of the issue.

You're one up on me Margot. I just looked again (google), and didn't find it on page 1, 2 or 3.

I wonder how long this has gone on and and for what reason. Google doesn't just drop a site overnight. Although I can tell you PR was updated the other day. That's all I can tell you, see the mods get very upset when I comment on the site's SEO and server
