The answer is likely what I wrote before upon joining this site: go to any website and make any post that opposes Israel's brutal suppression of Palestinians and your words will be censored at once. You will also find that your account will be closed on such a site. This has happened to me THREE times.

There are several threads here which condemn Israel's brutalism. In making these posts people are only exercising their Constitutional rights. This is why this forum is likely to close down soon.

I do not use google so have not noticed a difference. It comes up on DuckduckGo which does not track your searches unlike google.

Quackin idea. I'm going to try it.

How much do you know about Duckduckgo? How long has it been available and what kind of search results does it pull? I used to use a different search engine, but there were certain things I couldn't locate on it and I caved and went to Google.

I have just started to use it. I found it on Linux Mint as it is the default search engine there. I am interested in my privacy so like Duck for that,it does not give you the comprehensive run down like Google does with shopping, images, books etc but the search function list sites which is fine for me. I do not know a lot about it only that it was set up by some American back in 2008 and is small compared to Google. The main basis though is privacy. It does give you the option to find searches on google,Bing etc if you want to as well. Google tracks you and then informs other sites and that is why you get all that targeted advertising,Duck does not. Google sell your info as well I should think. Google is very much all about invading your privacy for profit.

Just another thought on Google and privacy. Gmail which they own scans your emails where as hotmail owned by microsoft does not. So if you have any gmail/googlemail accounts do not write any emails that you do not want google to know about because they are reading them all.

    That's overkill and totally unnecessary.

There are browser add-ons for Firefox and settings in the browser itself that won't allow tracking. Deleting and pausing the their history collection will do wonders for your privacy as detailed in the link I posted. You only have one day to undo the above mentioned history collection. I suggest everyone do it immediately.

Well that is your opinion but I would disagree and so would many others. I agree there are some settings in firefox and addons which people can use.

You are correct Mr Hip, and you can have your history erased automatically in the tools section of your top bar in firefox or IE. There are loads of freeware that also do a superb job in eliminating tracking etc, beware of freeware tho'. I usually will only install free ware that has been checked by PC mag, and do not trust the freewares site name for it (that its PC approved). I call the company or look up the archived article.

When I began posting here the site was maybe a little to the right. To put a visual on it I would say, just guessing our site was 55% pro-right. However that trend has reversed over the course of a year, today our fourm is probably 55% pro-left. It wasn't any ones doing save maybe for the usual suspects doing some heavy recruiting. I feel the switch over was accomplished with calling in a number of one-liner left wing anti American etc members. The truth is; I can live with 5% either way, however, personally speaking, a perfectly balanced forum is the best for the us and the world....haha...ahhhh'...eh?

That just deletes temp files stored on your computer,it does nothing to delete information already sent to other sites tracking you.

My setup deletes the tracking cookies (that I want deleted, I dont have to redo passwords etc). Maybe my IT friend did that? I was under the impression that after the data was sent it could not be deleted from the other sites, however you can be made invisible to those sited with the correct software. I am self taught on the computer and should take a basic course. I can instal op systems and do sys recoveries both destructive and non destructive, maybe replace a hard drive and a add memory card etc, but know nothing about code, zero, and have holes in my knowledge which happen to most self taught people. I have a problem now when I get online my computer runs slower and slower, in hour or two I have to either delete explorer via task manger or restart the computer. It happens slower when I run in save mode so thats my default thing. On the tower I have win XP with the latest service packs etc. I think its addons but I can not tell...Oh well sorry for the off topic comments ...

Now all we need are the features they took away for the 'upgrade' and we'll be back in business on this site.

Don't know about everybody else, but I'm tired of seeing "Members Online" where the latest new member's name used to be.

First off ditch internet explorer and run firefox/Chrome or Opera. I suppose firefox is the safest with addons. Get something like advanced system care which is a free program to clear trash and fix some problems etc,try and run that a few times a week. Get a good antivirus like avast which is also free and get a free firewall, plenty around. Maybe upgrade your ram,if you run xp it will only support about 3.25. Firefox can be funny sometimes.
