I've never encountered anyone making that claim, but Trump did claim even that far back that the election would be rigged. He wasn't expecting to win.

Some elections, state governments, local governments, school boards, media outlets, corporations, sports teams, banks, just as Dems do. Repubs also run the most effective propaganda machine ever assembled. How else do you explain the things Repubs believe in?

 

Give it a few years to play out. Many of the 2021 convictions of Democrats for voter fraud stem from 2018 elections or earlier.

All we'd need to do here is show one case to prove you incorrect.

Sounds more like The Hill is trying to convince itself. They seem to think the election fraud was a bunch of people showing up at the polls and casting fraudulent ballots.

Now all you have to do is show how the 16 instances of fraud, some of which resulted in votes for Trump, makes a convincing argument for the "big lie."

BTW, Dems never claimed voter fraud was non-existent. Just that it is rare.......as proven by research showing just 16 examples of it.

Actually it wasn't voter fraud as no votes were cast. It was fraud involving voter registration applications. And to a bigger point...it was caught. So the system does work.

I said it was fraud. But there is quite a difference between voter registration application fraud versus voting fraud. I would have thought you were aware of this.

We don't think it was "stolen" we think it was influenced by an outside country.

We believe that rank and file Americans who voted, nor election officials who ran those elections, did anything wrong. And that the votes they casted were legitimate. But that they were unduly influenced by a Trump campaign and country hostile to America. There is a huge difference.

 

Faced with overwhelming evidence there is no factual foundation under the "big lie" Repubs who believe it are left with little else but falling back on an erroneous whataboutism about Dems.
