Unfortunately mankind is not yet - after soooo many trials and tribulations - that we are all on the same boat and when it sinks we are all going with it!

Covid gave us a hint that such could happen. When it does, the cry will go out, "Why didn't we KNOW THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN?"

No doubt, but that is the sort of monumental initiative that is somehow incongruous to mankind. "We are all in the same boat and IT'S SINKING!" just never occurs to us as a whole.

Fauci is still smarter than all you Trump supporters put together and will continue to do his good work for years to come while Dirty Donnie the loser, who let this pandemic into the country and then did nothing about it, will be relegated to the trash heap of epic historical failures.

 

By his research, I mean at a minimum: his general embracement of GoF (and its risks...for all of us), and funding of it in an indirect manner. That's not fake; it's in his emails.

 

So the lie that Trump supporters continue to repeat about Fauci and GoF/virus research in China is still a lie.

Covid is just a cold you have it you cough for a few days and then you're better.

 

We do have natural immunity to the cold that's why we don't reinfect ourselves when we go into our houses. The cold mutates and changes.

I don't know what that group is saying that is a lie, or how it's relevant here. The basic facts are Fauci embraced the dangerous research, said it was worth the risk, although he didn't consult me even though I was included in the risk. He approved funding of the dangerous research at a lab in the middle of a city with millions, in a country run by a Communist party that has historically been willing to murder millions, who happen to be committing genocide atm, and who are in a adversarial political and military state with the US.

Those are facts that we know. And they are damning enough.

 

Great, can you produce any EVIDENCE to support your claim that Fauci and Fauci alone "approved funding of the dangerous research at a lab in the middle of a city with millions". As for consulting you, DuPont didn't consult you either and they killed more Americans and citizens of other countries for decades without repercussion yet I don't hear you shoveling you **** about them.

 

Of course it wasn't only Fauci. A lot of people put us at risk. I just learned that Australian researchers were also in Wuhan. Some put us at risk for the advancement of science (as they perceived). Some put us at risk to cover up or conceal their involvement. And I suspect others had malicious intent in their exposing us to risk, and used all of the above as useful idiots.

 

My doctors who actually practice medicine rather than working in a political position tell me that masks work pretty well for bacteria but not so much for viruses.

I wasn't aware that all anti-vaxers are republicans. It seems like a made up "fact" to me.

 

Oh it is. Just as there are Republican vac deniers, we have Dem vac deniers. My own town is just freaking loaded with them.

 

It’s a strange world. There is now a non vaccine prophylactic that prevents infection about as well as the vaccines that could be made available. Democrats seem to loathe the very idea of a competitive product that gives protection much sooner than vaccines and can be used in the immunocompromised we can’t vaccinate.

 

As I see it, it should be given EUA status for those who want to use it. But of course, that will never happen.

 

Yes it’s unlikely 99% of people will ever know it exists. And the ones who are made aware will be given disinformation about it.

Our current VP was a vaccine denier when Trump was in office. She stated that she would not trust any vaccine developed during his tenure. Do you think that added to the reluctance of some to get vaccinated?
