Cowards. They should be publicly telling him that. I believe there are lots of republicans who are screaming at their tv sets daily, waiting for a Rep to stand up and call him out on the crazy. Even here at PF, we have right leaning members who are not Trump loyalists - and I'm sure they'd be happy to see real republicans standing up for their party against this loon!

There must be a typo somewhere in your question. I cannot make sense of it at the moment.

Your post, in response to the issue of Congress raiding the USPS was: Exactly, and those efforts have been going on since Bill Clinton's administration. Those efforts through several administrations to the present are fascist in nature.

My question is about the raiding of FEMA - would that be considered actions by an administration fascist in nature?

I am completely uninformed regarding the raiding of FEMA.

That's where the money for Trump's $300/week is coming from...

Did not know that, thanks for the info.

Knowing only what you've told me, I do not see that as a fascist move because no corporation benefits from the proposal, as it appears right now.

They aren't fascist. They are greed for power.

A threat to raid FEMA isn't a raid. He is trying to get the congress people to negotiate. I hope he fails. It is unconscionable to get federal government to use money it doesn't have to give to state and local governments that don't have it. We must reduce the size of government at all levels.

My understanding is Trump signed the EO on the weekend because of the timely need for financial assistance required by millions. It is now Thursday - five days after the signing. I haven't heard about a negotiation going on - have you? If it was such an urgent need on Saturday, what have they done for the past five days? When will the negotiation be complete? Or, if failed, when will people receive their money?

No, I'm glad to say he failed. People won't be receiving any money. We can't afford it.

There is no evidence of any significant mail-in voter fraud. All restricting mail-in voting will do is suppress tons of legal votes.

Trump essentially admitted that he's undercutting the USPS to impact Mail-In voting because he doesn't want Mail-In voting.

If it was as you say that tons of legal votes would be suppressed, then there would be no reason for the Republicans not to want mail in voting - especially considering that it's the elderly that will stay home, and they usually vote Republican. But in the last election, there was a massive amount of fraud in favor of the Democrats - especially in the inner cities.

The only reason the Republicans didn't have a recount is because Trump won. Considering what the Republicans know about the last election and the manipulation and fraud that went on, Trump would have to be an idiot to allow mail in voting.

Are you out of your mind? Do you have any idea what's going on? How do you expect all these millions of people to live? Who is going to pay their rents? And if the owners can't collect their rents, how are they going to pay their real estate taxes - and then where will the States get the money to support everyone?

It's a vicious cycle, we are in a depression and it will only get worse - thanks to the Democrats who don't give a damn about anything other than themselves - and especially that evil Soros, who is paying the rioters to destroy business' so more people can be thrown out of work.

Government can't afford to fix it. The only sane course of action is to stop messing with the economy. Things will fix themselves.

If that is the case, what is your impression of how this will go down for him? To sign an EO - spend days patting himself on the back for it - then not deliver?

No thoughts on how that will affect his chances in November? I'm no fortune teller either, but I would consider it to be a nail in the electability coffin if he doesn't deliver on something he's been promoting for days!

Honestly, I don't care who wins the presidency. I only ask for congressional gridlock. That is what prevents partisan bills.

Anyone with an ounce of brains will not blame Trump, but the ones who added something to the bill so it wouldn't pass for their own self serving interests.

Well he has to let people know what the Democrats are sneakily doing, so that he's unable to pass it.

It took WWII to end the last depression, and this depression is a lot worse - and WWIII will be a lot worse. Wake up to reality - unless of course you have something to gain from the situation, and could care less about anyone else.

The only thing Trump can do is close our overseas bases and bring back our troops, our ships and everything else. It's time to pay attention to the American people. Oh yes, Trump can throw out Soros and his Open Society Foundation too - after all, he's been thrown out everywhere else.

Letting everyone vote during a global Pandemic is being sneaky? Sounds like some real Nazi Germany Fascism right there.

Trump never misses the chance to aggravate his opposition and his opposition never misses the chance to blame Trump. Either way, I do know that the post office traditionally sorts packages by hand. With the inundation of Amazon, UPS deliveries to the door, and all the many other packages that are hitting them, they began the process last fall of phasing in automated optical package sorting. COVID undoubtedly is drowning them in them. Now as someone who doesn't love either party, my guess is that most of what he is claiming credit for and they are assigning blame for is nothing more than various facilities being readied for the equipment changeover. Some of the "accounts" I have heard of involve states that Trump had solid wins in so if he were actually targeting voting, he picked the wrong ones to target.
