Cultists make up any excuse it seems.

Your infrastructure is apparently more advanced than where I live (WV). I voted in the last primary and have no indication if my ballot was received and counted.

Show me a source that he blocked any funding to the USPS which is supposed to be self-funding to begin with. I am sure it will be as non-existent as your alleged admission, but I will give you the benefit of the doubt one last time.

How did he (Trump) block the funding and what funding did he block? The USPS does not receive money from the US Government and has not since the Postal Reorganization Act.

True. I believe this is the reason some people are "up in arms" about mail-in voting. All it would take is a network of dishonest USPS employees to make sure some ballots never make it to their destination.

I find the mail is moving FASTER and more efficiently of late.

But the #1 go-to publication for endless Trump-obsessed conspiracy theories - the cultist paper of record - the august (they LOVED Hitler!) New York Times?

They say that he's up to something, so what can I say?

THIS time, the boy is not a sociopath crying wolf!

When it's a sociopath crying wolf yet again - the New York Slimes - with pleasure. :)

My full post unaddressed in your fallacious rush to defend the Hitler-loving NYT:

Heard something on the radio from some postal workers saying that they are now having their mail sorters taken away from some locations. This is going to keep getting worse. If you get a mail-in ballot, consider turning it in personally instead of dropping it off in the mail. We are going to have a metric ton of uncounted votes this election.

All of them risking prison time for doing so. And in states with ballot tracking, they'd easily be caught. There is no evidence of such a "network."

They are fascist, in that corporations use the government to take actions that benefit the corporations.

    As Mussolini described it, corporatism.

I didn't intend to imply there is such a "network". I was just saying that is way carriers can try to suppress votes they believe are not aligned with their preferred political party.

And, again, would be pretty easy to catch and would involve serious prison time. Right now the real threat to such votes not being counted isn't such a "network," but the Trump administration's sabotaging of the post office.

This is a matter of law, and speculation is impermissible in court. Which is one reason Republicans lose so many cases in court concerning elections.

I wasn't trying to try a case in court. I was making a comment about a way it might be possible to "lose" some ballots.

Why does government allow itself to be influenced by the companies? Greed. Corporations are doing what they do. Government is not.

It's one thing to not approve funding for USPS. But to actively sabotage it by removing essential equipment is another.

Statement from USPS spokesperson David Partenheimer:
“The Postal Service routinely moves equipment around its network as necessary to match changing mail and package volumes. Package volume is up, but mail volume continues to decline. Adapting our processing infrastructure to the current volumes will ensure more efficient, cost effective operations and better service for our customers.”
    https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/...g-mail-sorting-machines-ahead-of-the-election

They are trying to provide a reason for the removal - saying mail volume is down. However, we know that it will increase significantly over the next three months. So why now? Why not wait until after Nov 3?

From Dejoy's speech at the Board of Governor's meeting Aug 7:
As we implement our operating plans, we will aggressively monitor and quickly address service issues. You can rest assured that we will continually review our operational practices and make adjustments as required to ensure that we operate in an efficient and effective manner.
    https://about.usps.com/newsroom/national-releases/2020/0807-pmg-bog-meeting-comments.htm

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that removing automated systems designed for efficiency is in line with his comments. While every other business looking to streamline or speed up productivity introduces automation, the USPS removes automation. Can anyone make sense of this for me?

Government does that because it is corrupt. The men that constitute government are mostly corrupt individuals in the process of feathering their nests.

In truth, all men holding power OUGHT to be mistrusted.

I agree completely. Yet you call companies that take advantage of that corruption fascist. It is pure capitalism. It allows them to benefit without breaking any laws. They would be incompetent not to do it.

I am very much in favor of capitalism, but when capitalism has run amok, when capitalism has no moral compass and does not know right from wrong, it devolves into fascism.

The facts of life are that men ARE corrupt.

One of the purposes of the law is to bring justice and to control in reasonable ways the baser instincts of the human. Reasonable regulation like Glass-Steagall can bring stability and justice to society, and the historical record shows that G-S did contribute to the overall good.
