Here in Virginia, our Democratic governor is responsible for the scorched earth policy that resulted in shutting the entire state down regardless of whether or not specific areas required such extreme measures. To make matters worse, him and the Democratic-controlled General Assembly failed to ensure that the Virginia Employment Commission could handle the tsunami of unemployment claims BEFORE Governor Coonman put all those people out of work. Because of that, we still have thousands of Virginians who have never received the federal and state unemployment benefits they are entitled to and thousands more have had their benefits cut off and can't get a hold of anyone at the VEC to identify and resolve the problem.

Will Virginia residents and businesses survive the worst governor and legislature in the Commonwealth's history?

Trump does need to accept the economic numbers that have been generated during the response to the virus ... just as
Obama had to accept the economic numbers for the response to the 2007-08 recession and two foreign wars.

Crap happens while a President is in office. Obama didn't start the recession of 2007-2008, but he had
to accept responsibility for the response to that crisis.

Trump didn't start the virus. But he will have to accept responsibility for the economic numbers that occur during

Of course I expected this. Anyone who can do basic arithmetic expected this. But it wasn't done out of spite. It was done because some of us value human life outside the womb too.

Again, if we had paid up front by preparing for the pandemic, this cost could have been mitigated. But we didn't, so we paid it all at once. That's what happens when you don't prepare for something.
