Please God please say that Democrats now support opening the economy fully back up. According to the CDC, deaths of despair have now eclipsed Covid deaths. The "cure" is killing more people than the "sickness". Open up the damn economy now or you will have an armed revolt on your hands.

 

The truth of the matter is that these democrats WANTED this to happen. In fact they are giddy about it.

The USA has unfortunately become more of a service based economy in the last 25 years. Shutting it down hurt, and badly.

 

The service basis has nothing to do with this. Manufacturing is being hit, too. Nor would we have been able to grow as much as we did without focusing on service. But if all you can think of are straw men, then I suppose that at least gives you something to be "giddy" about.

B) If you think that people are committing suicide because of the stress created by covid-19, then you should blame covid-19 for their suicides.

 

We didn't shut down for 6 months and, in fact, Trump encouraged States to reopen before a single State had met even the minimal thresholds set by the federal government for opening.
