    Actually there was one of a sort when I was working in H-town. Three cretins decided to rob Collectors Firearms who also held the handgun contract for HPD and Harris County. Not only were the employee's armed but the place was full of PD. These 3 nitwits announced an armed robbery and shot into the ceiling. All three got made good. The most amazing thing was that one rocket scientist managed to exit the store before he died despite being well ventilated.

    You keep mentioning places with armed security disarming all present, using metal detectors and strip searches. Do you want to live like that everywhere? How many people would quit going to high school football games over the lines to get searched before entering? Restaurants? Malls?

    Many legislators in Texas get an LTC just so they can avoid the lines to get into the state capital, whether they carry or not.

    American has 300 million guns.

    Let me correct it for you: Courthouses are not gun-free zones as they are protected by armed security. Metal detectors and x-ray machines help insure that only authorized individuals may have a weapon on the premises.

    actually they are officially and legally, Gun-Free Zones.

    there are laws criminalizing the possession of guns in such facilities.

    On private property, knock yourself out if you can afford it. Your private property rights supersede my right to carry a gun on your property. I'll back you up on that any day.

    I have a relative who is a judge. He carries a Kimber 1911 in his courtroom. I've shot it. His wife is a federal prosecutor. She carries as well. S&W 642 with laser grips.

    Wrong. There have been many courthouse shootings. As for airplanes, there are many flights with air marshals on board along with a number of pilots who are trained and heavily armed.

    99.9% of planes have no air marshalls.

    even with that, no mass-shootings on planes.

    But that same person that was able to use a tiny little knife to kill someone because there was Zero resistance because everyone was on armed AKA sitting ducks 3000 people died if the terrorists had had a bullet hole in their skull maybe only the terrorists would have died the factors gun laws created an environment where someone could hijack a plane with the tiny little knife with zero resistance.


    That is profoundly stupid no matter how you cut it. We don't want more of that stupidity we want less.

    Weapons effect

    All it needs is someone with something to prove - a very large percentage of mass shooters were killed by gunfire from police so much so that it became known as "suicide by cop"

    Wasn't that long ago that we had members on here claiming that guns should be allowed on planes - even claimed there had never been a gun accident on a plane
