I believe it is a mistake to assume Wuhan, a city with more residents than New York City, is medically inferior to most of the cities in the United States.

I don't take much stock in what gets "noticed" by a guy who believes racism does not exist as a matter of course except to note that you are, in this instance, wrong again.

That must be why the CDC says the best practice is washing your hands for 20secs.

No medical expert claimed those viruses were going to kill everyone and wipe out the world and the reason why those viruses did not become the pandemic that COVID-19 is turning into is ironically because those were much more deadly. A person can be contagious with this virus before showing symptoms, potentially without showing any symptoms at all. With Ebola, SARs, MERs, etc., you were very sick before you were contagious.

And it is disengenuous to dismiss the threat of COVID-19 that was just discovered in the beginning of December, just showed it's first case of community spread last week, with the flu that has been around for decades. Of course the later is a bigger threat today and in the immediate future, but people can actively (and should) get flu shots or you likely possess at least some antibodies from a previous infection to reduce the severity of a flu infection. You can't get a COVID-19 shot yet and you do not have the antibodies to fight the virus.

The rest of your post regarding how to minimize the risk and to stop the spread is accurate though. I would just add that it is incumbent on everyone to ensure that they have adequate supplies to last a potential situation where they need to quarantine their family for 2-3 weeks.

Absolute bullshit. Declaring a national emergency was one step that he took, not the only first.

Did gatewaypundit also mention that the October Declaration was the 2nd national emergency made that year? That the first was made in April?

Sorry, but reality remembers it differently.

BTW, did you hear how nanny mini-mike provided vaccine to his WS butt buddies while denying it to at-risk women?

"Reality remembers it differently?" Ask yourself why you believe that.

Seriously, what the actual **** are you talking about? It is indisputable that a national emergency was declared in APRIL.

No, my point is to make sure that you know it is absolutely ****ing wrong to make such a claim.

You have the link to the CDC response timeline. Read it for yourself instead of continuing to push that bullshit.

Pushing bullshit like President Trump calling the virus a hoax? THAT kind of bullshit?

Just trying to get the parameters set. :)

Trump said, "Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus...this is their hoax."

Now, you can read that statement and think it is absolutely clear what he meant, but it is an absolutely rational interpretation to think he was specifically calling the virus itself, or at the least the severity of the threat posed by the virus, a hoax. At a minimum, it is really ****ing stupid for the president to call any aspect of the virus of a hoax.

And thus is fundamentally different from repeating the factually inaccurate statement that nothing was done by Obama in response to the H1N1 before October when a national emergency was declared in ****ing April.

Ok so I never said any medical expert, its the media who is pushing this narrative. Or pushing the narrative saying Trump is to blame. As far as the symptoms go, same apply to the flu. Which as I stated earlier, as killed close 10K this flu season. I would be more worried about catching the flu then I would C-19

So, you are admitting that barry obozo let many die & millions get sick before doing anything, and are not capable of criticizing that assclown, BUT find horrible fault with President Trump's prompt actions in response to COVID-19.

I am fundamentally saying that you are wrong to continue repeating the lie that Obama did nothing regarding H1N1 before October.

You want to make a thread about Obama's response to H1N1 from 10 years ago, you go for it. It is irrelevant to this thread.
