What do you mean reversed rolls since the 50's the Democrats opposed civil rights and voting rights up till the 60's, the Republican always supported them and still do. What roles reversed?

 

That was the Democrats position and the federal government took that position for the most part. That is where the interstate commerce thing came it and returning run away slaves and taking slaves into to free states. And a problemed faces with simply freeing all the slaves but a law, the Constitution requires just compensation, how was that to be done. Of course the north depended on slavery too and there was no big move to ban it federally.

 

Democrats have always been the party of slaves.

One reason dems are upset with republicans for freeing them.

KKK is a Democrat institution - established by previous slave-owners in defiance to the carpetbaggers invading the South after the Union Army won. Southerners were incensed that the Northerners would actually allow black men to sit in the legislature, own property, or be educated - so they retaliated against "uppity" blacks under hoods for disguise so the Union army would not identify and punish them.

How is that different from the way the Left retaliates against "uppity" blacks today - like Kanye West and Candace Owens? Kanye, Candace, Diamond&Silk, Charles Payne, Gianno Caldwell are as threatening to the Left as a slave uprising.
